I like to bring bags with me when I go apple-picking. Usually I bring reusable mesh produce bags, which I also use when buying produce in stores or farmers’ markets. Plastic bags would work just as well. They don’t take up much space in your apple-picking bag, but they let you sort the apples by type. You could put

I just finished Raphael Bob-Waksberg’s Someone Who Will Love You in All Your Damaged Glory. It was maybe a little too gimmicky in places, but most of the stories were excellent. I’ve read a lot of George Saunders recently, and some of these stories definitely had a similar feel.

When I buy booze in a restaurant, I know it’s marked up a lot compared to the liquor store, but I don’t mind if I feel like I’m getting something for my money. There’s no value added to bottled beer or wine, which I could easily buy and drink at home for a lot less money. With fancy cocktails or draft beer I can feel

I’ve watched far too much “Peppa Pig” to keep a straight face during Ruiz and Yadriel’s talk about their daughter.

I spent the entire “Christmas Carol” show thinking about how confused the in-show audience must be. Unless they’ve seen the show before or read about it, they wouldn’t get how many of the characters were references to existing GLOW characters. (If you don’t know who Zoya is, Russian Scrooge doesn’t make sense.) They

Judd Apatow sets most of his movies in Lesley Manville.

This isn’t really a question...

I just wish the “Tiny Changes” album was better. None of the songs are bad, but most are straightforward covers by bands I don’t like as much as Frightened Rabbit. (Wintersleep and Josh Ritter are okay, but I only saw them in concert because they were with FR, and in the case of Josh Ritter I left partway through.)

As someone who also grew up in Baltimore, I was disappointed that the show ended before Sheila answered Bobby’s question.

I’ve was reading The AV Club in 1999, and I’m certainly not the only one. You should republish some articles from 1999 to look at how writers addressed 1999 pop culture at the time, instead of looking at everything through a lens of ironic nostalgia.

I will always star a F.A.T.A.L reference.

I always go to at least 2 grocery stores every weekend: the Trader Joe’s that’s a mile away for most of my groceries, and one of 2-3 different nearby Whole Foods for the stuff that TJ’s doesn’t sell. Occasionally I’ll go to Wegman’s in addition to or instead of Whole Foods. Wegman’s sells liquor, but most grocery

I also remember Atom and His Package. I went to his (their?) show at a coffeehouse when I was in college. I don’t remember any of the songs, just that Atom had the crowd sing “Happy Birthday” for a friend over the phone.

Clearly, Burger King has no choice but to stop serving halloumi burgers entirely.

16 oz cans are convenient sometimes, but they’ve almost entirely replaced other packages. I barely see bottles anymore, and 12-oz cans are also disappearing.

Double post, ignore.

There was an excerpt from The Nickel Boys published as a short story in a recent New Yorker. I liked it enough that I plan to read the book, even though I couldn’t get through The Underground Railroad.

I still see the list of other sites at the top. In Chrome (with Kinjaimprove, Adblock, etc.) the sites show their top stories when highlighted. In Microsoft Edge (with no add-ons) the sites are listed but don’t pop up the top stories.
