This was the best episode of the season, and definitely one of Stephen Toast’s best voiceover gigs. Way better than his GPS.

As someone who likes beer and has a low alcohol tolerance, I totally agree. There are breweries whose products I never buy, because they only make 16oz cans of high-alcohol beer, and I just don’t want that much alcohol with dinner.

I like that so many of the performers have a personal connection to Scott Hutchison. It makes the tribute album that much more meaningful.

I was surprised not to see George Saunders in the article; I didn’t think anyone could make a list of great (semi-recent) short stories and not include Saunders.

I don’t know what Mr. Peanutbutter ever saw in her.

I assumed that the episodes from May 30 were the finale. (Because that’s around when the show was canceled, because it wasn’t on last week, and because I didn’t pay attention to the episode count.) These episodes were a pleasant surprise, but I still think “Spectacle” made a better series finale. It focused on the

I demand individual spinoffs for each member of the Fashion Club.

When I saw the headline, I hoped they were bringing back the comic. Then I remembered that nobody cares about newspaper comics anymore, especially not Aaron McGruder.

You said The Avocado has better comments than the AV Club, so I went to the Avocado to compare the Archer discussion. There is no Archer discussion. So on this subject, at least, The AV Club has the better discussion.

I don’t see an Archer thread at The Avocado.

I’ve also just started watching Spongebob with my 5-year-old daughter. She loves it; I’ve never heard her laugh this much at any other show.

I’ve been making “kid” puns for years without knowing that! Thanks!

Sounds like fun for kids of all ages.

They stopped randomly, because this is the AV Club.

I haven’t heard the commentary tracks. I watched Red Dwarf as it was meant to be seen: On public television after midnight on a Saturday, unless it was pre-empted by Doctor Who. (To this day, I still refuse to watch Doctor Who for that reason.) Also on expensive VHS cassettes from a store at the mall.

The opening notes of the Red Dwarf theme popped into my head every time they showed the exterior of the ship.

The author of this article claims to be named “Marty Sartini Garner”. That’s an anagram for “Santeria Martyr Grin”. Clearly, the article was written by some kind of grinning zombie, possibly the reanimated corpse of Bradley Nowell himself! No wonder it’s so pro-Sublime!
