That 2% result may not be reliable.

Jason Biggs, apparently.

In 2003 it became legal to sell liquor after 12:00. In 2014 it was moved back to 10:00.

Thank you.

Andrew’s not the only problem with the 99's security. They let Knox, a criminal with a (presumably) fake badge, into Holt’s office, then gave him full network access. Somehow he knew enough about their networks to come up with a plausible story.

The servers weren’t connected to the externally-accessible network. Knox said that they could only be reached by someone inside the building. Knox himself was inside the building, so he could reach the servers.

About a year ago I suddenly developed an intolerance of mannitol and sorbitol. They appear in a seemingly-random variety of foods including sweet potatoes, squash, mushrooms, many fruits, celery, certain greens, etc., as well as sugar-free gum and candy. It took a while to figure out the pattern of what foods I can

It’s also on at least one of those weird non-HD broadcast channels, the ones that mostly show old Johnny Carson and variety shows.

Yeah, the rounding down of 0.5g is a problem. 0g doesn’t definitely contain zero lactose, but anything above 1g definitely does contain lactose.

So, can we call this the end of the Salty Waitress feature?

Actually, it’s both. The whey is where most of the lactose is, so removing the whey greatly reduces the lactose content. But fresh cheese still has lactose, which is further removed by aging. That’s why some aged cheeses specify that they’re lactose-free, but you won’t see that on a younger cheese.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what “it” was. Now, what I’m with isn’t it, and what’s “it” seems weird and scary to me.

If you’re talking about sentient Pigeons, then we’re into Mo Willems territory, and things are totally different.

For a while I thought that mammals were sentient and other animals were just animals. The non-sentient animals tend to be birds, insects, etc., so that almost explained things. But there are non-sentient hedgehogs in the garden and a sentient hamster vet, so that doesn’t work. Then there was an alligator zookeeper who

A focus on farmers’ markets would be a great idea. It doesn’t entirely need to focus on what’s seasonal, just on the kinds of more obscure vegetables that are available at the market. Tell us what to do with kohlrabi, different kinds of radishes, the endless variety of Asian or Caribbean greens. Taste-test varietals

Occasional Takeout contributor Dennis Lee has got you covered:

But when will we finally get a big Hollywood production of Bye Bye Greasy?

Yeah, we’re definitely on the same page here. I just like complaining about it.

It was fairly crappy the week before Kinja, but that was because of a long downward slide. This site used to have interesting recurring features, long-form essays on specific aspects of pop culture, classic TV recaps, music reviews, articles and Newswires that were actually funny, etc. All of that started to disappear

During the flash-forwards, where was Jimmy and Gretchen’s daughter? Jimmy and the florist drove to the wedding together. You’d expect that they’d have the girl with them, but was there any implication of that? Gretchen definitely didn’t have a kid with her when she was checking into the hotel, hanging out at the bar,
