I didn’t like that the game show host was out to get Jimmy after hearing that Jimmy insulted him. Jimmy was capable of looking stupid on his own; he didn’t need the host working against him. And the mechanics of the plot came from a much worse show.

It’s strange to me that Broad City depicts Florida as a land of straight white Trump supporters. Yes, he won the state, but only by a small margin. The parts of the state with a lot of Jewish retirees went heavily Democratic. Florida also has a large non-white population and a large gay population, though those may…
How is a subsite different from the existing “food.avclub.com”?
I like your food writing, and I look forward to reading more of it. Now that I’ve said that...
Carol is excessively worried about her baby’s safety so she goes overboard to make everything safe for it. Meanwhile, Melissa is excessively worried about Todd’s safety so she goes overboard to make everything safe for him. The two plots don’t intersect in any way, and nobody comments on the similarity.
Wouldn’t it have been terrible if Jasper was killed by the pinata bomb? We’d be deprived of all those hilarious Jasper scenes!
There’s a separate Reviews category that’s sometimes visible on the title bar. “Film” and “TV Club” sometimes have reviews, but the main reviews are under “Reviews”. From there, you can get to subcategories of reviews, such as https://www.avclub.com/c/review/movie-review
Yup. It looks like a blog. Which makes absolutely no sense, since The Onion is supposed to look like a newspaper.
The AV Club is better than ever!
I’m looking forward to the second season, even though the finale was the worst episode. (Too wacky, and far too many “hilarious” Kroll voices.)
I’m not usually a big fan of Gretchen as a character, but this may have been my favorite episode of the season. It reminded me a lot of “The Return” from the first season of “Girls”, which is one of my favorite episodes of that series.
On any given week, most of the characters don’t say or do anything. Considering the title and premise of the show, it’s amazing how overcrowded the cast is.
It’s like the Pre-Taped Call-In Show. If you want to read the recap of this week’s show, check back in a week.
I used AIM at work for years to talk to coworkers and my wife. I’d still be using it, if my company IT department hadn’t blocked all messaging/chat services. Now there’s no point in looking for an AIM replacement, because every other service is blocked as well.
I was confused. I assumed the punch was related to something else that had happened; I kept rewinding to see if the puncher was dressed like Jimmy, or Edgar, or some other character we’d seen before.
The farms my family used to visit for autumn fun activities (making scarecrows, a pumpkin patch, buying cider, etc.) didn’t have cider donuts. They mostly sold apple pie. I’ve never been to Milburn; it sounds more like the orchards/farms in New England.
I assumed that apple cider donuts were a New England regional treat, not available in the rest of the country. (Donuts are popular here, there are PYO apple orchards everywhere, and I’d never heard of cider donuts when I lived in Maryland.) It sounds like they’re generally limited to apple-growing areas, but not just…
https://www.avclub.com/c/tv-review/the-mindy-project has 4 reviews. Maybe that’s all the AV Club has reviewed so far.
Nobody can get enough Treehouse! It’s not distributed at all, so it’s only available to people like you who live 10 minutes from the brewery. Kind of a pointless recommendation.
I have it on good authority that the aliens who kidnapped Adam Scott’s wife are the KITH “Anal Probing Aliens”.
