I always wanted to do that with multiple sets of Risk. Or maybe a Risk and an "Axis and Allies" for slightly different parallel universes. I'd also consider combining Monopoly with "Milles Bornes", where a trip around the board is a race somehow. There's no "Milles Bornes" variant so stupid that I won't consider it.

I can't remember which main character was with the gnomes. I think it was Sturm. I mostly remember that he met a young dragon on the moon. Characters seemed to meet dragons in most of the prequels; it made me wonder why they were so surprised to see dragons during Chronicles.

You missed a few. How do you feel about Riverwind getting trapped underground in a world of little people? Or the one where a bunch of gnomes fly to the moon? Or the extremely detailed histories of the elves, the dwarves, the minotaurs, and every other race?

I don't think those are songs about shitty fathers. The first two are about a bad father-son relationship, but it's not portrayed as the father's fault. I don't even see anything negative about the father in "Factory", though you could argue "somebody's gonna get hurt tonight" is a reference to beating his

I'm glad I asked. I've never heard of the place, and it's in a part of Cambridge that I can easily get to. I can't actually go out for fancy meals due to a tiny baby, but it's good to know what's out there.

Did you make that cocktail, or get it at a bar? I'm in Boston too, and if there's a place serving drinks like that, I want to know about it.

There's a Nebraska-style version of "Pink Cadillac" that's fantastic. I downloaded it years ago along with hundreds of other unreleased/bootleg/unfinished tracks, so I don't know how you can get it, but you should definitely try.

Wormwood doesn't cause hallucinations, at least not in the quantity that it's found in absinthe. When there was a wine shortage in France in the 19th century, people switched to absinthe. Drink a few wine glasses full of 120-proof liquor and you'll start to hallucinate, wormwood or no wormwood.

No, I'm just happy to see you.

They re-cast the part of Laurie Foreman.

I like "The Road to Wellville", which I assume is better than the movie. "Drop City", about a failing hippie commune, is also entertaining. The rest are hit-and-miss.

Bunk was better.

Sounds like you made a Brooklyn variant. The Brooklyn is similar to the Manhattan (of course), with maraschino liqueur in addition to vermouth. I like the Red Hook variant of the Brooklyn, https://imbibemagazine.com/…, which has half Punt e mes and half maraschino. I made several in an attempt to go through a

Morning? He's been doing this for years, with a different name every few weeks.

I'd totally be at that Hold Steady show tonight, if I didn't have a tiny baby at home. I also would have seen the Mountain Goats at the Somerville Theater earlier this month. Babies ruin everything.

The cost on the card. So if your Secret Monopoly has an orange, a red, and a green, you pay less for the orange houses than the green houses. Rent is also the value on the card.

It's sold outside of Oregon. I live in Massachusetts, and someone brought me one in a miscellaneous six-pack of shitty party leftovers. The six-pack stayed on the kitchen floor for a few months, until I had a chance to bring it to another party.

In college, I lived with a group of RPG and board game nerds. We came up with all kinds of complicated rules to make Monopoly fun.

I heard Chips Ahoy once on commercial radio. It's probably The Hold Steady's catchiest and most accessible song.
