Well... there is a similarity between Harley riders and sentient war-like gorillas. Go ahead, blow it up. Like the head of the Statue of Liberty on the beach, you have to destroy free-dumb to save free-dumb.

They tried that when the bought Buell. It was a decent attempt at diversification. But it didn’t work then and it won’t work now. Successful rebrands are rare. I can only think of one off the top of my head, and while Harley is also a disaster, there’s little chance of redemption for them. Let them go the way of AMC. Read more

All I’m going to say is, it better be self cleaning. Try explaining why you’re walking that into the office after your morning commute. Not to mention how gamey your car will be after an 8 hour shift if you don’t.

I’m not pissed. But I am amused. So many people are unhappy with the stories on the site. Yet you’re (we’re, really...) all still here. Because BMW motorcycles don’t have enough ultra expensive components that fail a bit too often... then again, it’s how the dealers stay in business.

According to the live stream (video available on YouTube) the new F-150 will be available this fall.  Not exact, but not exactly unknown when we’ll see it.

Yup.  Sold my K1300GT last year.  35+ years of riding and inattentive assholes on their mobile phones--even in the middle of nowhere--drove me out of the sport. I still miss two wheel touring.

I see the politics of the situation is already out of control in the comments. But I’m going to stop with a single comment: Excellent work, Aaron. Jalopnik should do more in depth stuff like this.

My point is that you can’t prove it either way. Since you can’t truly know, why make assumptions about what really happened?

But you did. At the very rallies that violence and looting occurred. It was all done by people on the right to discredit the demonstrators and cause chaos. Now, prove me wrong.
