The way people in DC reacted to our minor earthquake in 2011 was hilarious.

It’s a good thing they did make it brown considering the black interior looks like this:

I have owned one since I was 15. I have never regretted a moment of it. I have friends that have had more "classic" or collectible cars, but none of them get the attention or the curiosity from folks as the Opel. The lights are always a talking point. I purchased it in rough shape from a neighbor for $500 in barely

Look on the bright side, taking pictures with this say... at a wedding for example, would be 1000x less obnoxious than using an iPad.

That is the reason why you don't need a grill. Now answer the original question: why make something that looks like a grill if you don't need a grill?

Yeah. It almost sounds like you’re arguing (correctly) that the better solution than hoping sequestration saves us is for the US to cut down on its carbon emissions.

Oh, of course, once they have 20,000+ plants built they will be able to offset less the half of 1% of US carbon emissions per year.

they already have provisions limiting new drivers. thats why medallions in nyc cost $700k. At least they did before Uber came along. Now they are worth much less.

Not exactly Exige-less but definitely jealous of that improved shift mechanism. And front clam. And chassis improvements. And V6 torque. And plaid interior most of all

If you’re talking about the bodywork, yes. The drivetrain? Not so much. In fact, you can just source engine and drivetrain parts from junked Celicas. Case in point, I need a new throttle body for my Exige. It was close to $1000 from Lotus. But I just went to the Toyota dealership and got it for half the price.

Except that the new exige has 350hp from a 3.5 sc V6. 2400lbs and change is fantastically light for that engine, and it doesn't really affect the dynamics of the car.

I don’t think the laws of physics allow for any other configuration.

I mean, ANY rich person can sit around with paid-for models on a beach somewhere.

In 1991, the Acura NSX stickered for $61,600 - which roughly calculates to $105,000 dollars today, adjusting for inflation. Of course, you’re going to tick a few option boxes, and get it closer to the $75,000 mark, which gets it closer to $131,000.

Year 724: Honda debuts its first consumer V8 engine

The Audi R8 is the new NSX. This Ohioan thing is something else.

Like a lot of the cars on this list aren’t like that? “I put an exhaust on my V8 and it sounds like a V8!!”. If you put a nice exhaust on a Hemi Ram...it sounds like a Challenger. That’s the same concept for most of the V8’s on this list.

it what racing needs. There’s a place to the LMP race cars, Indy, etc. but watching those race is like going to an art museum to see a Chris Burden performance piece. It’s extraordinary, but you haven’t a clue what’s really going on because it’s simply not relate-able to the average guy (one without some sort of MFA

I’ve actually thought for some time that using shittier tire compounds would be the best way to make racing feel more interesting to the layman.

I’ve been wanting to see a race series like this for some time, open to whatever production car you’re willing risk racing, but limited to a specific width space saver spare.
