There were two types of people that I knew who had them, tuner folks and track/autox rats. Both ended up modifying them eventually, but differently. It is truly amazing when a stock one pops up.

Yeah, it was not a drag racing favorite by any means. But it was a total, seam welded package. It was incredible to throw around on a tight road, autocross or track day. Still is.

Anyone who has driven both engines would see the night and day difference. The Toybaru engine feels coarse and very regular. That type R’s engine is an angry beast that feels special/exotic/exciting. On paper they are not far off, in reality there is no comparison.

I’m guessing they’ll drop Williams. A Honda contract would probably save tens of millions of dollars per season, seems Williams can’t afford to not do that.

They make cars, but they only make one engine for all their road cars. They mainly just turn up and down the turbos a bit. Would be interesting if they could partner with Cosworth for engines, that’d be about as close to a factory engine as they’ll get.

Fear not, mighty McLaren can still find ways to lose with an engine that Merc wins with. I think you should find solace and inspiration from Williams making a right mess out of their everything in spite of having a Merc lump in back.

What large city do you live near? How feasible this is varies hugely from city to city. Having lived in Houston, Dallas and Jacksonville, ditching a car is impossible as they are much less urban and far more spread out, even in their densest areas. Currently living in DC and the density is a completely different ball

Or in the space that minimizes the odds of being dinged by some dingleberry. I never feel bad about walking an extra 50 feet. I always feel shit after getting dinged. I think this study was flawed in its very premise!

THIS! Back in 1996 I turned 16 and I’ll never forget the first time I drove myself in my unblemished Honda Civic to the mall. Parked exactly like you described. Maximum protect mode of my silver vtec baby. Came out 1 hour later to still see my car surrounded by a sea of empty spaces (success!) ... Except the one car

Safer? Id rather be mugged or stabbed than get in a car that’s been out in the TX sun from 8-5pm.

Or when jobs dont come to where they live and they have to think about moving to have the lifestyle they want.

Most kodachrome slides I see are low gain, super sharp, contrasty, great color and generally stunning. Kodachrome was a hell of a film stock. Im guessing most of the ones you’re thinking of were actually shot on Ektachorome, or maybe just not correctly exposed Kodachrome?

At least you had correct form. Transatlantic flights are specifically made for watching crap movies that you’d never otherwise see

That’s generally true about following, but to precisely what time delta is hard to determine. What is undebatable is how masterfully Seb controlled the restarts and how much more aggressive he was fighting through traffic (tho he risked a puncture by making contact with a Renault I think). At one point he leveraged

Since we don’t have official data, 1 sec falls well into what should be considered “noise.” 1 sec is well below the difference you’d see as a result of track condition variance over the course of a single day.

My favorite part is the overspray in the wheel well

Perhaps he’s simply a racing fan. You don’t need to pick a team and wave pom poms for them to enjoy a sport.

It worked out poorly for LeClerc, but at the moment the call was made it was far from 100% clear that this would be the result.

Didn’t say what kind of dream. Nightmares are dreams too.

It’s hard to bitch when your article ends with the tone that it does. More that! High fiiiiive!
