Why? You could literally calculate the result ahead of time if you just measure the grip and acceleration of each car. There would, quite literally, be no reason to actually run the race to find out the results.

And some people cling onto the naive idea that racing doesnt need personalities or drama to be successful as a sport...

Well, it’s a stick family sticker so I’m guessing it’ll look... stupid

Parts bin baby. That’s no Lambo

That’s only a concern when these depreciate to like $60k and the 3rd owner is in the hook for that bill. So... ask that question again in about 5 years?

There are all kinds of wealthy people.

Exactly. It is a cynical cash-grab exercise in brand-engineering of pre-existing components aimed at a target audience who are begging for things like this to spend their money on. As much as I hate this thing, the Volkswagen Audi Group would be stupid not to build it.

Did I mention he has them stored in his stronghold located on an isolated volcanic island that is only accessible by Supra suspended from helicopter?

They should install a lavatory so you can simulate the mile high club too

You don’t have to look back to the 90s to see how this happens. Just look back about 10 years to the last recession. Tough sledding. The LFA was a huge victim of this. It’s even apparent when you try and find a good used 997.2 nowadays. Few are around because there simply weren’t that many sold relative to other eras.

I think David Clark actually owns quite a few of them and keeps them tucked away for a rainy (and profitable) day when an F1 owner needs a new plant. He’s got quite a lot of F1 bits stashed away, so he says.

LOL easy there “snowflake.” No amount of hard work makes you immune from criticism. I love what SCG have done, but I think they come off quite petulant and whiny here. The design language they used themselves has been around since the 60s and has been used on many, many, many many many, many cars. See all the photos

This gives me feelings in my car-pants. Many feelings

Looooool. Since Nissan introduced the R35, the 911 has gone from the 997.1 > 997.2 > 991.1 > 991.2 > to now the 992. They’ve gone from the old M97 engines, to direct injected, then a 2nd gen of the n/a DI engines, to completely new family of turbocharged engines. That’s not even counting the various GT3 engines the

Dude, that engine’s oiling system did not look up to that task. He was effectively cornering at a constant 1G for nearly 4 minutes... It sounded like a bag of bolts by the end...

Love Field in Dallas completely surrounded by sprawl. DCA is too, but planes use the water as a flight path so it seems less dramatic, same with LAX and LaGuardia. Hobby in Houston, John Wayne in Orange county are two  surrounded by sprawl, and I’m sure many others that I don’t regularly get to. McCarran never struck

Shit, on 95 from DC down to Richmond I see police tucked in the wooded median all them time. Sometimes if they are sitting in a visible area for long enough, they actually cause traffic slow downs because people are afraid to drive by a cop at anything faster than 5mph under the speed limit

I’m late 30s, but I don’t think that has anything do to with my preferences. As I said, I may just be an outlier. I just want a light car that is good to drive and not loaded with things I might use twice a year but can actually live without 99% of the time.

It’s just more data sliced in a different way. Never a bad thing
