Same here! This thing gets it. In an era where electric sedans can make “supercar numbers” in acceleration tests, it seems time to rethink why these cars exist at all. I think that’s precisely what DeTomaso has done here. Hoping this catches on.

Well, when I first saw Glick’s car all I could think of was the 33 p/4. All that matters however is that this thing is stunningly beautiful. It resorts to curves and contours in places where the P4/5 mixed in harder modern angles, and I think the DeTomaso is all the better for it.

Eh. After more than 2 min of being on, a heated seat just feels like you’re sitting in a diaper full of hot poo or something.

Driven almost everything from the mid 80s to 2000. They were plenty good by the late 90s, but then again I’m someone who doesn’t like heated seats and thinks an headphone to aux input gets the job done just fine.

We had one that color back in the 90s! Then my mom backed into it in the driveway. Then my dad got another. She backed into it as well. Maybe it was the color... ?

This is badass. But it is also ugly as sin. Like a big ass carp with a FORD grille. It’s ok that it’s ugly. It doesn’t have to not be. It’s still badass.

Growing up in TX, I had a weird affinity for these when they were dropped a few inches and given a little bit of rake. They ceased to make any sense as a vehicle at that point, but man there was something about those lines that make it work

I think that’s actually how they designed it. Multiple teams designing parts of it with no visibility into what the other teams were doing.

Kid won’t appreciate it yet (probably). Start him with a Honda for safety reasons (he WILL wreck it) and then when he’s old enough to 1) care about objects with sentimental value 2) can afford to actually take care of it the way it deserves, give him the truck. It’s better for him and the truck that way methinks

Gah these are gorgeous. The creases and lines are purposeful and cohesive. I even like the cleaner more cohesive approach of the 3rd gen, but I get why some might call it bland.

The thing about facts is they aren’t related to your opinions.

Tell me about it! I live in DC now after growing up in TX. Lane discipline and slower traffic keeping to the right is a completely foreign concept here. I drive in the “slow lane” 99% of the time because NO ONE is there and I can actually pass everyone else on the road who are going 1mph under the speed limit and

“In many of the screenshots you see an empty lane next to a congested one”

Well... It’s our job to educate ourselves and not just intuit our way through life, but I guess not everyone see it that way

This is a fun infographic

Yep that’s the bummer about it all. It always was a pretty non-partisan event that just focused on being family friendly and various communities. It was a day to forget about politics and just be thankful for all we have. This year, all anyone is talking about is politics. No matter what “side” you’re on, that’s a

What, you don’t like being roped off from your fellow citizens and used for political posturing on grounds that should literally and symbolically be open for all Americans?
