Man, an accord v6 in the 90s was pretty damned efficient. I was getting low 30s mpg on road trips in one in the late 90s. It even had an LEV sticker on the window haha.

True. But I’m not sure what this has to do with my reply? Maybe I’m just being dense and not connecting the dots? (not being snarky, genuinely asking)
?
Roughly 75 miles driven in 4 years at one point in that car’s life... How does the owner only have like 1.5 hours in 4 years to drive the thing? No comprendo.
Tilke is the Bangle of track design.
THIS! I’m so with you on this. Ferrari’s incompetence (and Renault’s inability to give RedBull an engine) has robbed us of a competitive fight. I love the irony of how the man most responsible for the disastrous Ferrari upgrade package last summer has now been promoted from technical director to team principal.…
to be fair, racing at Monaco has been pretty processional for decades and decades. It’s about quali and then precision on race day. I went back and watched the entire Monaco 88 race the other weekend and the commentators statements about how you can’t pass at monaco were identical to current day commentators. With one…
I mean, they’re trail braking down to the apex in most turns. T1 China is just a very long decreasing radius turn. It’s different, but kind of Mickey Mouse IMHO
Looks more like bean cutters
Oh man, Road America is a nice track... But best NA circuit is a big claim. I think Road Atlanta has more personality and distinct turns, same with Laguna, even VIR. Though I like RA much more than VIR.
I think what he’s trying to say is more COTA please. Can’t ignore the mess that is the Sochi track. But then again Tilke had no control over the location, that was all Putin and Bernie high fives.
Yes obviously, but that’s an extreme to the point of being undrivable in a modern F1 car. Obviously.
$ is also going in the pockets of GM shareholders too because they are saving a lot more than 420m by buying credits from people like Tesla, lets not forget that.
There’s a big difference between discrimination and economic incentives designed to help those who most need it. As someone who has been the subject of discrimination due to my non-white skin, I can say with great confidence that you’re an idiot to try and conflate these ideas.
I love this movie. But let’s be real. It is equal parts extraordinary and disaster.
Talladega Nights is the king of all racing movies. There are others that I like immensely due to my own personal sentimentality, but I have to make excuses for their shortcomings. No such thing with Talladega Nights. Hail to the king
While I generally agree with Chris Harris, you can make this exact argument between any two cars as long as one is less expensive. It’s ostensibly a big boy version of the “for that much money I could get 4 Miatas and a decade of track day fees!” argument
There is a pretty broad spectrum of slicks out there, you can find one very well suited to this car and the conditions on any given day or track. Heck, you can get a lot of heat into a set of Hoosier A7's on a single autox run in a Miata. It’s more so about the compound itself, ambient & surface temps, car weight…
We laugh now... But we once all laughed at the prospect of a Brexit or Trump presidency... Nothing would shock me anymore
