It would still be refreshing.

Remember folks, when you are a politician and have to resign because your shady, scummy activities come to light: never, ever, ever, admit to the tiniest amount of any wrongdoing, graft, corruption, criminality, or even ethically challenged behavior.

I hear ya.

I didn't click to read any of those articles because I knew the comments were going to be scary.

Tears and booze.

Well, this is awful if true. I don't have Crohn's, but just terrible, intractable IBS (also was on bc pills for years). My daughter just started progesterone pills for awful periods and menstrual migraine, and I'm hoping to get her on Mirena or Skyla when she's sixteen in a few years (the earliest the gyn will do

I feel like your article is leaving some important things out. I clicked on the Wikipedia link and found other information:

Yeah, but your current PM is a crazy right wing asshole, right?

Oh, yes, a thousand times yes. My daughter (13) is a huge Beatles fan, and I know she's a bit of an outlier (she's got fantastic taste in music; her iTunes playlist has everything from Renee Fleming, Ella Fitzgerald and The Roches to Talking Heads, Neko Case and Annie Lennox), but even the stupidest kids she goes to

We are hoping for Cumberbatch in the Lumiere role here at our house!

And for me, the ironically sexist part of it was that while I love Marni Nixon's voice, Audrey Hepburn was a ACTUALLY decent singer (and the powers that be actually promised her that her voice wouldn't be dubbed for "My Fair Lady" and then went back on their word), and a far better singer than "sing-talking-chanting"

When I watched him in the movie in the theatre, his singing really bugged me. But seeing him again later, my irritation has evolved into feeling like he isn't a half bad singer in general, but he spent so many years singing with his stupid rock band that he A. doesn't have any kind of a musical theatre voice, and B.

His singing voice doesn't ordinarily bother me that much, but it drove me nuts in "Les Mis", and I couldn't figure out exactly why, except that it seemed to me like his voice was frequently straining, especially on the high notes.

The event I'm thinking of isn't an officer-involved shooting, but a chilling reminder that police body cameras aren't always that effective. In (I think) Philly a year or two ago, a little boy called 911 and said his parents were abusing him terribly and trying to kill him. The cop shows up at the house, questions

I feel so torn, because my daughter and I love watching this show SO MUCH, but I just told my husband to cancel our HBO because he lost his job. No way he (or I) will be getting a new job before this starts up again. Boo hoo.

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm in the grays so I can post any pics.

Jesus, I can't decide if you're like the worst troll ever or just an abusive jerk (but I'm leaning towards the latter).

Yeah, but that was ruined for me totally because at some point during the second season I read a comment online which pointed out that just about every single time Dan Stevens says a line on that show, he leaves his mouth hanging open like a mouthbreather afterwards.

I am going to have to check this out! Thanks for the heads up.

Plus, we know he's good at accents and dialects.
