AAA games are significantly more expensive now than 10 years ago as well. There’s also inflation. It seems like a big leap, but they probably should’ve done a $5 increase a while ago, and then another $5 increase so it didn’t seem like so big of a jump.

It’s nice they’re added so many playable characters, but I’m thinking it’s maybe too many. they need to figure out a way to pare down the roster. Bonus points if it fits into the narrative.

I guess they’ll have to something different for the puzzles that required folding the DS, but yeah, it was a fun game back in the day.

Oh, to play Nier yet another time. Love that game so much. I just hope people who’ve only played Automata keep in mind that, despite being lightly remastered, it’s still an older game, and it’s going to be clunkier, even tho it pays off in spades by the end.

The anime has done a good job of smoothing over the clunkiness of the manga (which, to me, seemed to rely on a lot of flashbacks to redo/change things and the anime could integrate those more naturally into the narrative), and I hope they can do something similar to the ending.
I thought the ending was.. acceptable..…

Is that 10 hours playtime to completion? given I put 100+ hours each into the past few Persona games, 10 hours seems pretty abrupt.
After pretty much every game I’ve played this year being super long, aside from Hifi Rush, a nice short game has a lot of appeal.

I watched those other 2 series and have zero recollection of anything in them. That’s kind of odd.

Is this one only 6 episodes as well? I’ll give it a try for 6 episodes, but if they’re trying to stretch it out for more, I’ll probably pass. Plenty of good anime this season.

Thanks for the replies! it does sound great, and that’s a great point - it’ll still be great in a few months, maybe even better with some patches. There’s just so many great games this year. When’s the next gaming drought? heh.
