You can at least run in Haunting Ground. It did have pretty decent controls (at least for the time).

I dunno. I mean, the wikipedia article backs up my usage with respect to video game developer/publisher/platform relations, but I’ll concede that because of my job, I do see discussions about this matter in that narrow scope, and I was not considering the usage in the broader sense.
Regardless, we both seem in

Yeah, I can see that view of 1st versus 3rd party, although I think it’s uncommon usage within the industry. I was mostly taking exception to Eidos being referred to as 3rd party while owned by SE.

I guess as someone in the game industry, I’ve never heard anyone refer to an -internal- developer as a 1st party developer

We’re talking “first party game” which is a specific (and game industry term). I guess you can pull the whole “lol wikipedia” card, but

I think you’re wrong. Citation needed.

So are you agreeing with me then? Eidos Montreal was entirely owned by SE, so would count as a first party in that case. I don’t think I like this idea of changing 1st party to mean developed by the publisher. We already have nomenclature for that: “published by SE” and “developed by SE”

I guess definitions changed. Back in MY day (creak-groan-my back hurts), first party games were games made and published by the console manufacturers. So like only Sony, MS, and Nintendo can make first party games.
Even if First-party has expanded to mean publisher-owned, if Squenix owned the studio (rather than

I’m a bit curious why you called out GotG as a third party game specifically? Aren’t all SE games third party games?

Also, wondering if they’re asking Embracer “Can we have our Tomb Raider back? No Backsies? Dammit!”

Nice. A big win for the political party that

pushes for smaller government, and privatization of public services.

I hate when people make me root for Disney.

But... are the doors... fun?
I loved TLOU2. A lot more than the first one (1st’s story was a bit better, but TLOU2 is just way more fun to play). I admire the attention to detail they’ve added. The doors are one example. The unique animations for every single upgrade. All that stuff is so impressive, and the craft

Nier Automata (and Nier Replicant, which imo has a better story by the end, but is harder to get into I imagine).
Glad to see Plague Tale on the list.

I toss in some curry powder sometimes. Delicious!

My son discovered a bunch of secret stats in MK8Deluxe, and is now racing as Morton. And yeah, it apparently works. He’s placing more consistently higher without any additional practice.
I’m kind of annoyed about this as well, because there’s big advantages to picking characters and vehicles you don’t like. Well, who

more like Suicide Squad: Hard Pass.
(if you like it, enjoy it! I’m sure it will be a pretty good skinned looter shooter)

Good list, although this li’l pro-tip made me chuckle. “Checking out your health bar also lets you know how urgently you need to pick up the loose orbs of health and ammo enemies tend to drop.”

Most Nintendo fans: “I couldn’t get COD before? I never noticed.”

Did she really say “First Nations” ?? that’s Canada talk! She’s a goddamn commie!

What is Pickle Rick going to do? Falsely imprison the players so they can’t leave the game?

Is it required to utter “I’ve never been in a tornado, but I’d give it a spin” or is that bonus points?

The urine one is also a great way to get out of meetings and family dinners.
