I remember getting into Friends for one season and thinking Joey Tribbiani was a hilarious character so I guess it was not without its charms to me. But, I also stopped watching after one season because I don’t remember the show offering anything more than just comfort.

It really sucks that Seinfeld the show is so transcendent while Seinfeld the comedian is so average and Seinfeld the person is such a self-centered grouch.
