Agreed. They fail on two fronts for me - underbaked hockey puck-sized cookies, and their standard chocolate chip cookie uses milk chocoloate chips instead of the superior semi-sweet. Oh, and the underage worker exploitation, that’s not good either.

Crown Burger’s onion rings are probably my very favorite of any fast food place. They go the light and crispy coating route as opposed to being heavily battered. And yes, with the fry sauce, the combo is just about perfect. Lived in SLC years ago (now I’m down in the ‘middle-finger to mother nature’ that is Las Vegas)…
Yep! Gave me nightmares for a long time after seeing it as a kid. I haven’t watched the movie in decades, and I wonder if that scene comes across as hokey from an older perspective, but it scared me shitless as a kid.
Something I’ve been wondering for a few years: the Russo that wears glasses - does he have a bad wig, or is it just an unfortunate haircut?
Well, she was arguably the best Part(y) of Five Scream movies.
Yeah, I enjoyed it - and didn’t realize it was poorly reviewed here.Miles Teller was definitely the weakest part of it for me - his every line reading seemed to have the same staccato cadence no matter what sort of emotion he was supposed to be portraying. However, Matthew Goode as Robert Evans was just delightful. …
Maybe I’ve just only had sub-par curds, but I just don’t see the appeal. They’ve always just been overly-salty bits of rubber in my experience.
I dunno, that Gary Glitter song sucked well before anything of his crimes came to light.
Aw man, that’s a bummer. My wife as binged “White Collar” a couple times through the pandemic and I’ve caught the odd episode, and his character was pretty memorable.
He also showed up in a few episodes of “Boy Meets World” - another show that we’ve started watching with the kids recently. Too young to go, I wish his…
Yeah, I took my sons to BB2 yesterday as well. I was hoping I’d at least get a chance to take a nap in the theater but everything about it was obnoxious and I just ended up doing a hate-watch. At least I used the Fandango gift card I got for Father’s Day so I saved $25. The only upside is that Amy Sedaris got herself…
I loved that bit as well. My brothers and I adopted his way of saying, “But Da-a-ad!” (I can’t remember the specific scene, but it’s one where Kevin McCarthy is berating his lackeys).
That reminds me of when I was a kid and my dad took me to see “Back to the Beach” and we were early so he took me to an adjacent screen to watch a bit of a movie he’d been wanting to see - Robocop. It was the final scene - “Dick, you’re fired!”.
I’m partial to his work with Nazz (Hang on Paul is such a great garage band song).
Warren Zevon is fucked over once again.
He’s too damn good for the thing anyway.
Yes, the group interview! I remember going through that. And having volunteers test out the amazing cutting ability of the knives and scissors. Ugh. After I learned that the expectation was not door-to-door (which I wasn’t looking forward to, but had some previous experience with) but was to reach out to friends and…
I’ve never been to New York, so I won’t make any comparisons, but here in Las Vegas, I was happy to find “Life’s a Bagel” - a bagel shop that makes some pretty great bagels when compared with Einsteins (which is probably a low bar, until you see the bagels that grocery store bakeries sell). They’ve also got a ripping…
The treehouse is still at Disneyland (or it was when I was there 2 years ago). However, it’s been re-themed to the Tarzan movie from 20 years ago.
Wow, I had no idea Matt Berry had a music career. I hadn’t realized that was actually him singing in ‘Darkplace’. That album cover makes him look a bit like Lowell George.
As someone with various family members that fall on the spectrum, I had that same worry. However, the series was recommended to me by enough people whose judgment I trust that I decided to give it a try. On the whole, of say it is not exploitative - at least it seems less exploitative than other reality tv shows.
