Former Blazer, and noted cupcake aficionado, Raymond Felton.

I don’t think you can say the Lightning were a bad team or Columbus especially good. The NHL is just a league where just about any team can win a playoff series with some goaltending, a couple good breaks and getting hot at the right moment.

This is the lulz. This is Virginia vs. UMBC. Columbus made the best team in the league look like a minor league team. The only vindication to this is if the Bolts steamroll next playoffs for a Cup. Though even if they do, they are still alone in ignominy after this impressively huge choke job.

Oh for fuck’s sake - these people have been running victory laps for close to a month now over Cheeto’s “total exoneration.” Now, they’re worried that there might be bad news in the report? Typical crooks - it’s only a crime if you get caught.

I think you’re right, but I also think there are a gigantic number of people out there who confuse “the Dow” with “the economy”, whether they own stocks or not.

Turns out it’s a typo. They do say it was 2009 later in the article.

2008 US Open was at Torrey Pines. Tiger won with insane putts on a torn up knee against Mediate in an 18 hole playoff, his last major win before today. Pretty bad for the PGA website to get it that wrong.

Or the economy crashed because he stopped winning Majors.

Think about it.

Meanwhile Matt Kuchar wishes no one would cash his cheques.

Because he didn’t do anything to me. Go polish your halo somewhere else

This is a great anecdote. For all of his many, many faults, he does seem like a pretty decent guy in the golfing community.

I’m delighted for him. My former BiL caddied for him once, and said he was one of the nicest players he’d met – and he’s caddied on the European and US tours!

I loved the shot of him walking up to the clubhouse and the rest of the world top 10 is there grinning ear to ear and congratulating him. They all just barely lost to him and they’re high-fiving like they just won themselves. That’s how big of a legend he is

This is good advice in general.

That was the most fun I’ve had watching golf since...uhh...

You can’t reference standards of journalism and then link to goddamn breitbart, for fuck’s sake.

The Clement TD you could make an argument for, but in what universe is the Ertz TD not good? He caught the ball and took THREE steps before diving and breaking the plane. NFW is that not a score.

Just to be clear though, this is good news.

Those two touchdowns are a giant step forward for the league. Both were catches to any sane person who has not had their mind warped by the NFLs bullshit philosophical dissection of “what IS a CATCH, MAAAAN?”

Same person?
