Friendly banter such as "you call that thing a penis?", or asking "is this where all the dicks hang out?" is acceptable, on occasion.
While at the bar Sunday watching games, no one in our twelve person group knew the answer to "where is Colt McCoy a backup right now?" question, and I didn't even notice that we were collectively too indifferent and lazy to look it up until I read this post.
Seconded. Biggest omission I note as well!
I didn't say I saw a 2014; I said I saw a Lincoln MKZ yellow cab, and I gave you a picture of it. Quit splitting hairs - the car has only been out a few years, and the 2014 model is the first redesign.
Not my picture, but here you go: http://www.complex.com/rides/2012/12/…
(if that link does not work, google image search for "Lincoln MKZ taxi" yields the picture)
I don't pretend to know everything about the cab business, but I also thought only certain vehicles were "approved" to be NYC taxis. Under this assumption, I find a Lincoln MKZ being in the mix a tad strange.
NYC yellow cab. It was painted yellow, had the airport disclaimer on the door, the NYCTAXI logo...and I don't equate these in any way with livery vehicles, or anything that the UBER drivers have. All I'm saying here is that it definitely caught my eye, and made me feel bad for Lincoln a little bit.
Because it made the vehicle THAT much more good looking!
Regarding #3: I recently saw a NYC cab that was a Lincoln MKZ. That's all you need to know about this vehicle in order to undermine it's value.
I passed an orange one just like that on the Garden State Parkway in NJ yesterday afternoon (female driver, I'll also add). Gorgeous vehicle in person.
I was at that game! What an asshole.
As a frequent flier, I'd guess that the % of First Class tickets, on average, that are actually sold is somewhere between 25-50% (low and high estimates). For Business Class, it's probably 50-75%, simply because a lot of corporate travel programs permit that for flights over a certain distance (and usually only the…
I'm 6'2" and feel your pain. Know what else is great, though? On Delta Shuttle flights (the routes between Laguardia, O'Hare, and Logan), beer is FREE! Yes, you pay for mixed drinks, but free beer! It's a nice touch.
$355 is broken down as $300/m + tax basically...so...yeah around ~17%. Would love to figure out how to knock that part out, but, still - I can't much complain about what my garage charges when compared to other neighborhood rates.
I've done the alternate side thing for a few multi-month stretches - it's dicey, and I did fall victim to a few scratches, scuffs, dings, etc. My last garage on E48th was small, and VERY tight. I recall stopping in there one random weekday just to get my sunglasses out of the car, and it was borderline impossible to…
It gets driven about twice a week on average - so more than occasional, I guess? The garage I currently use is $355/mo, tax included, 24hr access, and 5blks from home. I can't complain about the cost - so you're making me feel like I've got a good 'deal' here on the island! Anyway, good on you, the land with a buried…
Manhattan, E30's. BX would be incredibly inconvenient for me, but, still - the picture is giving me serious garage envy anyway. I don't know how you procured it, but solid work regardless!
We don't rely on our cars and are forced to be charming and/or rich.
Got an extra space for my car in there? I don't require daily access!
