I didn’t even know what that meant (or cared enough to find out) until today. My white people fact of the day. Looking back, a lot of people use it without really knowing what it means.

I love Last Week Tonight. At times it is hard to watch because we humans are just the worst, but it has become an important part of my life.

I am all for representation in media (black dude here) but it is distracting as hell when it comes to this plot point and would just rather everybody involved be the same race.  I chuckled when Aegon said “look at them.”  No shit dude.

It isn’t what he will do if elected that is the problem is if he gets elected it might give the Democrats a type of candidate that they may struggle against in elections.  Not that Democrats ever pay attention to what works.

I know she is a favorite fan on here, but Sarah Sherman is more miss than hit with me. I appreciate the risk taking but some of her stuff is just off-putting. Being a sharp contrast to something that isn’t particularly good doesn’t automatically mean good.

Exactly. The one place on the Black Progress Index that I am familiar with is just a wealthy area that black people of a certain social economic level can afford to live. A friend coaches AAU girls’ basketball there and all the kids (black and white) come from wealthy families.
