Agree 100%. I think Whedon’s influence was the issue with the writing - the weird comedy moments and the quippy banter are all him.

Agreed that it’s not perfect. And I haven’t seen it in a while, so I can’t be a Resurrection defender but there I things I love about it. Jeunet’s visual style was a perfect fit for the universe, but I remember some of the pacing and script felt off.  

Just think in a few years we could have stuff inspired by deleted entire completed films.

Mad World” was for sure the first iconic instance of it in the past 20 years, but trailers didn’t start going absolutely apeshit with this practice until The Social Network trailer dropped, with its childrens-choir cover of “Creep.” From there, the virus truly spread.

That was Me First & the Gimme Gimme’s whole schtick.
