Hahaha I had an, “I harbor perverse sexual lust” t-shirt from the It’s Walky webcomic years ago!

Agreed! Something about the funky hair, yellow glasses, and tech gear just does it for me.

My money’s on this approach. The actor is playing a random character who happens to see some of the action, and says something snarky about how “kids these days don’t know what they’re doing, not like in my day”.

To be fair, Annie Potts already pretty much played a completely different character in Ghostbusters 2 compared to 1.

Ernie Hudson’s cameo nod to his original character will be him standing just slightly off camera.

They did a brand refresh after the old-guard bigwigs were... removed. Retro-chic to market to a younger, hipper Hydra. An edgy design aesthetic for 2015’s tech-savvy young fascist.

I really like this look.

I’m telling you, the most important mission the Avengers ever went on was taking out three factories in China that were devoted to HYDRA-branded merchandise.

From what I understand, it does sound more like just random little cameos, and not an actual appearance by them as their character. They’ve been pretty vocal about this being a total reboot, and not a continuation of the original films.

Kinda hoping its more “heres a cameo by original actor with fun nods to their original role”.

Seems like it might be the latter, if Potts is playing a Hotel Clerk. Who knows, maybe Janine found work elsewhere after the original Ghostbusters went on their merry ways?

I saw this image every time I closed my eyes for weeks after. I’d never before, and I’ve never since had such a “NOPE” reaction to a scene in a movie. Still just thinking about it leaves me unsettled.

I think the low fi claustrophobia of the original Is much more effective. Having samara pop out in a perfectly lit airy apartment wasn’t anywhere near as creepy as Sadako in the poky dark Japanese room. All sorts of things in the remake I think they made weirdly worse. Both excellent though. The US sequel was a bit

Ahmed, that’s you? You’re supposed to post that shit on articles about the destruction of historical objects in the middle east, not just any article. Fucking read the instructions, twerp.

Heavenly Creatures. This is from the first five minutes of the movie. Then you spend the entire movie forgetting about this scene until the very end. Brilliant.

Many scenes from Jacob’s Ladder but the gurney going down always creeped me out...

The Blair Witch shot didn’t work for me, but I was one of those people who got really hyped about the film’s premise and then was deeply disappointed when I finally saw it for myself. I recognized the shot was supposed to be creepy, but I never got invested in the narrative, so to me it was just some dude in the

Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I never understood how anyone was scared by anything in Blair Witch Project. I remember thinking at the end of the movie: “That’s it?” The only thing that haunted me after the movie was the headache and nausea caused by the camera shaking for 90 minutes.
