Marcel the Shell With Shoes On was robbed, I tell ya.

I do like the parallels it has with Scream 2. I especially like that this time, it’s a father, and that there’s siblings involved. Like I said, I think there’s a lot of mileage to be gained from looking at how families get both effected and affected by such grisly events.

Basically, any sufficient amount of time stuck in a timeloop turns you into an even more powerful version of Batman/The Midnighter, where you can outfight and outthink anyone you come across because you have an infinite timespan in which to train and can run through any scenario as many times as it takes to always

I don’t know about anyone else, but I found this movie’s Ghostface reveal to be on the same level of underwhelming as Scream 3's. I’ll probably always hate that one more because of how it tries to retcon the self-determination of the villains in 1, but yeesh. This was not a very inspired choice.

Okay, it’s to the point where I just need to stick my head in the sand when it comes to this movie. I’m already sold! Don’t need to see anymore. Don’t know why I clicked on it XD

It’s his mother’s name!!!

So this yesterday, and I strongly agree.

Maybe the real friends are the G.I. Joe PSA’s we made along the way.

Well, having just seen the movie yesterday, I’m sad to report there is none of that. There is, however, someone clearly watching Jason Takes Manhattan A Boat on the TV, so at the very least, they did think about it.

🥺

Okay, your comment made me laugh out loud. And yeah, that’s fair. I dunno why it doesn’t do it for me, but hearing you come to its defense? Makes me respect it more.

Hey, Spotify. I’ve got a question for you:

Haven’t seen it yet, but there’s at least one that I know of. On the subway, you can see Jason’s mask amongst the crowd:

Please tell me you actually did write this, and it’s not just a ChatAI-something-or-other? Because if so, this story is what internet moments are made of.

Yeah, sometimes emotion is way more affective than technical prowess. I think that’s precisely why “Falling Slowly” won the year it did: it’s so achingly sincere. (I had to stop myself from getting into an argument with my friend’s mother that year, because she insisted that song had no business winning over either of

It’s beloved in my household. We all get misty-eyed over it. It’s so sweet.

Thank you. Yeah, I’ve always thought of that song as the perfect one to convey the transition from one life to another, so it seemed appropriate to sing it to my babies once they came to this one, and it’s why I intend to have others sing when I leave this one behind.

You know what? I can agree with that, actually. “Gollum’s Song” totally sounds like his James Bond villain theme, and that’s not actually boring. I wish I could edit my original comment.

This list is missing “Into the West.” Say what you will about the prior two songs from the Lord of the Rings trilogy being snooze-fests (they are), but Annie Lennox KILLED it with this one.

Yeah, I can get behind that.
