Yeah, you’re not wrong. The whole subplot involving M’s history is pretty great, too, and also presages Silva’s motivation in Skyfall. And hell, I thought the oil pipeline travel was pretty spiffy, too.

...and would have done a better job in the part.

Well, in that old MTV claymation series, Celebrity Deathmatch, in addition to their faces they also switched butts, so it’s not like there isn’t precedent.

You want to make this the best film possible?

The one part of that movie that I wish was in a better Bond film is Bond’s whole dynamic with Elektra King.

(Raises Hand)

....really? Huh.

Nope. Just watch the climax of Gerald’s Game, instead. MUCH less traumatizing... /s

Unfortunately, it’s starring Gerard Butler, so my belief in the film being any good is quite low.

Huh. I thought Bond fans actually wanted to forget that one?

Apologies for trolling, but I just wanted to add that Multiverse of Madness would have been better had it been a good horror movie using the superhero genre as window dressing... but as someone who on some level unironically enjoys trash like ALIEN: Resurrection, the Masters of the Universe movie, and even Rise of

Yeah, it’s depressing how often the “safe,” conservative (not as in politically... though, sometimes that, too, but by being slow to change its perspective) and overall bland choices will be what’s rewarded up the nose by the academy.

This is still my biggest bone to pick, too. Can’t friggin’ believe it to this day.

I don’t know, but I really wish we could. Between not letting us delete comments, or being able to edit them after 15 minutes of posting, it’s like Kinja WANTS all teh stupid comments to be forever.

Indeed we shall, my Norwegian/Danish/English sovereign friend!
