Yep, same here. Linda has become my favorite writer here, currently.

I think that was the second one, actually.

I’ve also heard good things from Evil Dead: Rise’s early screenings.

Yeah, but in spite of Avatar’s extensive use of CGI, it’s still not considered an “animated movie.” It featured just as much live action as it did animation (it’s sequel, on the other hand... there could be a valid argument there).

Yeah, but how many installments (that went to theaters) of that series were animated? How well did that animated installment do in theaters compared to the live-action ones?

Ooph, that one still stings. I love that movie. Should have gotten way more success than it did.

Yeah, that’s what gets me. It’s a combination of “James Cameron has yet to miss” and “this readership almost certainly represents a vocal minority rather than the majority.”

Ooh, sorry to get your hopes up like that... but maybe this movie can work in a “spiritual sequel” sort of way?

Who the hell took their stupid comment out of the greys?

This quote from Linda Hamilton checks out:

Yeah, I think the issue is less that audiences don’t turn up for Sci Fi animation so much as they don’t seem to turn up for Sci Fi animation set in SPACE.

The sheer hutzpah of this guy’s swagger, I tell ya.

Now playing

Meanwhile, the bear itself is claiming the title of this film is false:

Take your freaking star. You earned it!

Your Pulp Fiction quote is ON POINT. Well played.

Hey, maybe there’s a chance it will be in the movie itself?

Not since Snakes On a Plain has there been a more meme-worthy concept. I’m friggin’ SOLD.

True, but I’m controlling the game in that case, so the characters have to be is my avatar, and I get to enjoy the frenetic pace firsthand. That hyperactive pace is potentially a lot less fun when I’m a spectator and want to connect with the characters as an outside observer.

Yeah, that kinda lines up with my rebuttal to my wife’s argument, but like I said, I was just relating the one good argument I heard.
