I heard so many people say the The Leftovers shows Lindelof CAN stick the landing. I guess I should give it a try, since I’m someone who didn’t mind the ending of Lost (or BSG, for that matter)

Has there been any decent Arnie reboots? We’ve had Total Recall, Conan, The Predator, arguably Terminator 2 as Genisys. All terrible.

Name-dropping Svankmajer is a wank, major.

There was an image of that thing on the back cover of the VHS. It always freaked me out too much to rent it as a kid.

I was visiting London last year from Australia and decided to go and see Young Frankenstein: The Musical. Two guys sat next to me and one started chatting to me and introduced his friend Robert. After a minute or two I was compelled to ask “is your surname Picardo?” It was indeed him and we had a chat about Star Trek

At the end of Titanic, the ship sinks. Most people knew that going in. :)

I had this same thought when Lupita Nyong’o showed up in Star Wars as a wrinkled little goblin. Just cast her as that character and put her on screen! Give her weird alien ears or something.

It’s been hilarious to see angry middle aged men on Twitter declaring they won’t watch it because it is going to focus on Teela. Oh dear, you won’t watch a show created to sell toys to children? Congratulations on your strong stance.

For some reason THS are virtually unknown here in Australia, but Entitlement Crew has been getting play on alternative radio here. It got my attention so I’m interested in checking out more. Reading the comments it sounds like Boys & Girls is the place to start?

It’s very common in music for an artist to put out a killer debut album and then fail to follow it up. I guess it’s not surprising that the same can happen with directors.

I had the Robocop C64 game as a kid and one level seemed impossible to finish before the time ran out. In recent years I discovered that they actually designed it this way, because a bug in the next level made the game unplayable. They didn’t have time to fix it before the release deadline, so just reduced the time
