I visited the Everglades a few years ago and couldn’t believe how many gators there were. They were lying across walking paths and people just stepped around them like it was no big deal. They seem pretty docile. I’m from Australia - if you saw a saltwater crocodile here you would not go within 50 meters of it, even

Hmm ... putting “punch you in the throat” in quotation marks probably won’t cut it with HR.

I’m surprised the Chronicle didn’t make the list. Not quite horror perhaps but close. Though they really get a bit silly towards the end with all the cameras in order to get these big shots without breaking the whole “found footage” thing.

And Johnson’s a bona fide star, not some jobbing character actor living paycheck to paycheck (ie, the type of actors we get on Random Roles, which is great and works because it’s mostly lesser known actors)

I wrote last season I was expecting a reveal where Billy had a tattoo on his wrist saying “Six” or something, revealing that he too had been experimented on like Eleven, which would help explain his behaviour (remember what Elle was like in season 1). His dad being in the military fit this theory too. Alas, it was not

I know the last decade to now has been “The Golden Age of Television”, but the 90s were the golden age for sitcoms. Seinfeld, Frasier, Friends, Raymond and then a heap of decent second tier ones like Mad About You, Just Shoot Me etc. Now what have we got? Big Bang Theory.

Swayze’s death made me realise how old I was getting. The day it happened we were talking about it at work and our 20-year-old intern said: “Yeah, my mum’s really sad about it.”

I’ve heard this said before but in Australia Netflix doesn’t have any Disney content already, with most of it on the local rival service. But Netflix is still easily the dominant player here.

It can be two things!?

The theme park in China is actually based on beloved movies The Hunger Games, Twilight and ... Gods of Egypt. No, that’s not a joke.

Ask any woman that worked at a Murdoch paper in the 80s or 90s and they’ll probably tell you that, if anything, the Hawkins guys are tame by comparison.

Yeah, he only won one Oscar during that time but how many nominations did he get? Three or four as I recall. That might help explain why he was in demand.

It’s a fake name, surely? The screenwriters’ equivalent of ‘Alan Smithee’?

I saw a TV ad for Stuber tonight. Both the gags featured were basically gay panic jokes. If that’s the best they’ve got ... yikes.

How about Lo-Bot?

This new Quentin Tarantino movie will make you rethink what you know about Hitler’s death!

I’m Australian, so calling him a bit of a wanker is a very mild insult. He’s not in the same league as Spacey or Depp. Just seems a bit full of himself sometimes. I still respect the guy. Though if you’ve never read this award-winning (really) piece about him, do yourself a favour: https://www.smh.com.au/national/i-was

Wow, just publishing entire press kits now?

They actually can’t change it in Florida, because Universal Studios has the Marvel rights there and will hold them for some time. There’s a big Marvel Land coming to Anaheim soon but it won’t be replicated in Orlando.
