I’m looking forward to this. Crowe may be a bit of a wanker in real life, but he’s a terrific actor. It’s about time he started getting some meaty roles again (I guess his Dark Universe schedule was cleared).

Or, since Marvel just got the X-Men back, make Thor 4 the famous “X-Men go to Asgard” story from the 80s! Actually, on second thought, don’t do that.
Yes, I agree about Iron Man. I wish they didn’t feel the need to give Spidey that silly suit too. I guess it was so he was able to play with the big boys in Avengers, but Black Widow seems to get along fine without a super suit. Hoping it’s gone for this movie.
I remember this. There were even action figures!
“Go Flash, go!”
I grew up playing a C64 and a decade ago was lamenting the lack or originality in modern games, since they had become hugely expensive studio productions with no room for risk or experimentation. The rise of indie games since then has been amazing.
That’s one I do have - just started on it last week. Bought it on the strength of FTL.
Some severe stress this year has seen me go back to games after a few years off, but I’ve found myself going to independent PC games that can be played in short sessions rather than long console epics. What are the good independent games this year?
The reviewer forgot to specificy they were talking about Attack of the Clones.
I kind of love movies that leave me wondering whether I liked it or not. If you know what I mean?
Maybe they could just finally film The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay?
And mapping it all out publicly is a huge risk if something goes wrong. Just take a look at Universal’s Dark Universe flop, or to a lesser degree Disney’s overly ambitious Star Wars plans.
Two questions:
Yep, I remember the producers of Moonlight getting $200 million for their movie too.
Off topic but pretty sure that Ridley Scott story is a myth. Aside from the actors having, you know, read the script, the amount of set up required would have made it rather difficult to surprise the actors. I think people just like to believe it because Veronica Cartwright is so convincing in her hysteria.
The weird thing is, and I don’t think I’m alone here, the best part of the movie is the new climax featuring the train sequence. Unless of course what they scrapped was going to come after that set piece, but in the present cut the movie only last about 10 minutes after the train so it felt very much like the climax.
Also, in the comics don’t mutant powers tend to manifest themselves at puberty (as happened with Rogue in the first movie)? Wouldn’t all those children have no powers and no indication they’re mutants at the age? (And that goes for flashback Jean too!)
True, but those nails were big!
Sold! (Particularly since it’s on Netflix)
Like the Colossos bar fight, they could do a hangout movie from that era where the guys get drunk at an outback bar and accidentally foil an alien invasion, while the girls teleport to a mall for shopping and haircuts (and meet Jubilee).
