This always bothered me - how did they get those huge nails through Wolverine’s hands?

I wouldn’t call pointing out something it completely wrong a “nitpick” 😀
I haven’t seen it yet. What are her powers anyway?
They could actually have a lot of fun with Longshot’s powers, a la Quicksilver, in a Rube Goldberg style action sequence.
So, Lost was part of the MCU this whole time?!
How about James Gunn or Taika Waititi for an Excalibur movie? Imagine how much fun they’d have with a bunch of dimension hopping superheroes. Also, it would mean an opportunity to develop Nightcrawler a bit more, who in the movies so far has pretty much just been used as a special effect.
Watching Dark Phoenix it occurred to me it could have been great had they cast Lawrence as Jean back in First Class. Of course they didn’t know what they had on their hands with her at the time. Mystique had far more development in these films - if that screen time had been given to Jean instead (played by Lawrence),…
Ah, What If? I used to love reading it even if the answer to every What If ... question was basically that all your favourite characters die.
Ah yes, she became the “Black Queen” of the Hellfire Club. How Marvel got that outfit (and Emma Frost’s) past the Comics Code Authority at the time is beyond me. But 12-year-old me was certainly glad they did.
Pretty sure I recall him initially thinking Sonja was Jean in that What If?
I demand Pulitzers only be awarded to print newspapers! Let websites get their own damn awards!
I am not. But it’s a good list!
Well, this sounds like my jam. I can’t get enough of “robots try to understand/become humans” stories, and we’ve had quite a few lately. Blade Runner 2049, Westworld, Ex-Machina (the best of that bunch). I just tried to find it on Netflix without success, but I guess a June 7 release date means US June 7. My June 7…
I wonder if the documentary will cover INXS ruining their legacy by turning the search for Hutchence’s replacment into a reality TV show competition?
What other great anthology shows are out there right now? I’ve been underwhelmed by Electric Dreams and Love Death Robots. I highly recommend UK horror/comedy anthology Inside No.9 though. Any others?
Fifteen Million Merits was the first episode I saw and I really didn’t like it. In fact I didn’t bother watching the rest of the season until it showed up on Netflix. I’m surprised it gets so much love but maybe I should watch it again.
I always thought the ending of Shut Up And Dance was ambiguous, in that maybe the trolls set up the kiddie videos too. No one else seems to share that view though.
I went to a preview screening tonight and agree with Dowd’s take. The biggest problem is that there’s really no emotional weight to the story. The original comic (which I read through the 80s and early 90s) had an impact because Jean had been a regular since the book began in the 60s. This version we barely know, so…
It does make you appreciate how coherent the space battles were in Star Wars and Return of the Jedi, with none of the effects technology we have today.
Not only that, but the blast door has a window in it!
