Wait what? Russell Brand is excellent. He’s really really thoughtful and shockingly introspective in precisely the way someone like Owens is not or at least is careful not to do in public.

Same thing at Columbia. Before I lived at the NYU dorms I stayed with a friend at Columbia when I was in New York for interviews. She had to to go with me to the security desk, I had to show my driver licence and then sign in.

Yeah, I read it. I don’t know what that means. NYU’s ID policy was “loosely enforced” too considering I came in and out everyday for almost a month and didn’t have an ID. It was still my fault when they hassled me.

Is it? To me the article seemed to be about a student being stopped and harassed because he was black and attending a prestigious school and school employees thinking he was homeless rather than a student. Again, similar to other incidents like at Smith or Yale.

Yeah, if you look at the other comments on the page, I have said at least 5 times that calling 4 guards and physically handling him was entirely unnecessary. I was only referring to the fact that they followed him in the library and asked to see his ID.

If you actually read what I wrote there, it was the first summer that I didn’t get an ID for a month or so.
