1. Austin already lacks the infrastructure to service the people and corporations that are currently there and has the commensurate real-estate pricing for such an issue. Moving there would defeat the whole purpose.

that’s an easy answer though, Parrots can’t urinate.

I was thinking more like $10 to each one.

I mean, I can barely remember that time but from what managed to filter through to me I never got the sense that there was a question of whether or not Anita Hill was telling the truth.

I mean if you want to say the Koch Brothers or the Mercers are paying her....

I believe them. Who doesn’t believe them? What black woman PhD holding, college professor is going to come out of the woodwork 15 years after the fact to sabotage the career of the black Lieutenant Governor of Virginia with the account of an event she was verifiably present for, if it’s not true?

Black people should really be thankful white people kidnapped them to america to be raped, tortured, murdered and subjugated otherwise they might have been in Africa to be raped, tortured, murdered and subjugated by different white people....

How are they this stupid?  They have to know people would have said the same thing about the other people in the list.  That is basically how you get on the list...

Ir’s not chattel slavery but the system which existed in the US at the beginning of the civil war did not just spring fully formed into existence, it evolved over time and conditions and legal recourse available to slaves also changed over time. It was not always the case that the conditions black slaves were

The institution of slavery in the United States wasn’t that unique, there were worse places to be a slave, there were better places to be a slave.

Well I find myself point this out frequently to people who complain about Discovery.

it’s in the little drop down at the top of the page that pops up if you mouse over the names of the various GMG blogs.

Came here to say this.

Now playing

I disagree, I think indentured servants were slaves. The racial hierarchy which was codified to create divisions between black slaves and white indentured servants occurred subsequent to the introduction of African slavery.
