I'm calling her this from now on. Jilliam Nichaels.

Stalin may have been an Atheist, but he wasn't killing in the name of Atheism, he was killing in the name of a political ideology. So maybe the OP should have said "Atheists don't kill in the name of Atheism." Maniacal douchebags come from all walks of life, including Atheism, but you don't see Atheists killing

This is the best description of this situation I've seen yet. Mind if I borrow this the next time I'm talking about this with my mom?

Ha ha hahahahhaha! I'm not saying the kid should win, but saying toddlers should always be pleasant little bastions of politeness is silly. Toddlers are learning how to navigate life and get a handle on their emotions. The occasional tantrum is going to happen, it's all about how you handle it.

I don't know how many times I've heard parents with spoiled kids say things like "I just want to give them everything I didn't have," or "I hate to tell them no!" It's ridiculous and does the child no good.

This is the thing, the nanny in the original piece wasn't saying parents should never let their kids choose what color sippy cup they want. They were saying not to let your kids run your house. It's silly to dirty an entirely new cup to placate a 2-year-old. I wouldn't let my partner get away with "Honey, can you dump

Parents are...getting younger? You d realize that the median age for parenthood is actually much older than it used to be, right? It's such a big "issue" that it's been covered by the NY Times, the New Republic and The Washington Post.

I gotta disagree on the whole sippy cup thing. I didn't get a chance to read the original piece, but from what you have here I don't see her saying "Never give them a choice." I see her saying "Don't let your kids run the house," which I don't see how anyone could disagree with.

This is definitely a subjective subject, because I don't think Winslet looks at all more "mature" than DeCaprio. Then again, I go for the whole DeCaprio look. Personally I think they look pretty much the same age. Which makes sense, since they are around the same age.

"Honest question, because I certainly wasn't thinking that but again, it could easily be subjective perception. " - I remember thinking that there was a weird age discrepancy and I was only in middle school when the movie came out.

And wasn't Bancroft only 36 when she filmed The Graduate?

Dudes like you should have to wear a sign so the rest of humanity knows there's a body snatcher (or whatever you are) about. Because there is no way you are human.

I know this is old, but dude you are so full of shit that breath smells like manure.

I meant "Nice Guy" ™ as in "Not Really A Nice Guy" like described below:

Bennett is a "Nice Guy"

I don't understand this need on your part to throw janitors under the bus. Janitorial work often pays very well, and no, we don't treat them like untouchables here in the West. WTF?

Sooo, there are no health benefits from sex?

People who don't respect fast food workers or janitors are assholes. Hell, my best friend's dad makes great money as a janitor. Better than many desk jobs.

To be fair, Belle seemed like she would have been pretty happy alone with her books and cats, which is why I like her the best.

I 100% support this, but dammit if it isn't hard for me to read.
