The Beans, Oh the Beans!

Aww, girl, I get that too. I am around the same age and I also have an 8 year old and I can't tell you how many times I've had other parents make an issue out of it. It makes me feel terrible sometimes but I've kinda learned to shrug it off.

You are my hero for the day. I am going to use this STAT!

I just don't understand that way of thinking. I have worked with quite a few very young looking professionals and I never pre-judge them in that way. Some of the most brilliant writers, editors and marketers I've worked with look 18 and are actually 35 (I work in publishing).

Great article. I definitely still get this shit, and I'm 30ish, and not at all like the girl described herself. I'm tall and buxom (think an unfortunately young looking, brunette Joan from Mad Men).

I'm glad! I am lucky to live in a generally open-minded area where I got receive too much judgement, but I used to live in a very conservative area where it was a lot different.

Number one had nothing to do with what you're saying. The author was talking about being too busy to date, not about either or. I definitely didn't see it your way at all.

Even thinking about marriage makes me want to fall asleep! Number 10 all the way.

That can happen even when you don't marry. I've been with my guy for many years, and if I hadn't put my foot down early on I could have ended up just as miserable and domesticated as his brother's mealy mouthed wives, even without the white dress and all that bullshit.

I've been with my partner/boyfriend/whatevs for many years and we have three kids, so I definitely get what you're saying about the looks that people can give you. I had to learn to either unabashedly say partner or boyfriend or just lie and say husband, depending on whom I'm dealing with.

Number 10 all the way, along with the fact that I've been in the same happy relationship for yeas and I don't see any reason to change that and I don't need a piece of paper to legitimize it.

I know for a fact that she doesn't write a word that goes on there.

It's so bullshit too. When my dad got my mom knocked up back in the day, she was the irresponsible one and my dad raised me like a boss.

You do realize that there are still wars going on in the middle east and a genocide happening in Sudan right? Perhaps she skimmed past the bullshit entertainment industry crap and went straight to the real issues.

I'm guessing someone was drunk when they wrote it this morning!

Kristen Stewart was great in that movie about The Runaways. I thought I would hate her because I hate the whole Twilight thing, but she's actually pretty good when she's not playing stupid Bella. And for what it's worth, I think she actually kind of hates Twilight too, from what I've read in real magazine interviews.

The point is that sure, they might be competing against each other now, but actors and actresses compete against each other every single day for roles. The tabloids are purposely pitting these two girls against each other because they are beautiful, successful women and the public eats that shit up. They simply don't

Good for you, it sounds like you've taken a very proactive stance about the issue, which is very mature. I don't know if a lot of other college students would be able to do the same thing.

Wow, that's pretty scary. If it's a regular thing then there is probably a problem. I hope your friend ends up okay. There is often a lot of pain involved when someone drinks like that, or at least that was the case with me.

All I was saying is I don't put a lot of effort into it. If anything I was being self deprecating about myself. It's just makeup. Damn.

I only wear tinted moisturizer with an SPF of 30 or higher and it has made a world of difference. I recently bought Dr. Jart BB cream and I am thoroughly addicted.
