They were probably poorly managed for years before Kaz came in, fell incredibly behind their competitors in so many areas, so badly, that their brand turned to shit and it was a better decision to completely cut off certain parts of sony rather than trying to salvage that arm of the company.

Oh I know you can't make art from nothing. I'm of the opinion is art is away we communicate our experiences with the world we live in, I just think that art as a concept is limited to that. I don't define art by how wonderful or stunning something is to see or experience, if that were true art would be limited to only

I actually did sort of think that at some point but I didn't get it. In their clarifications, they said that everyone, co-op or single player, is playing as the main character Arno, and the customization comes from gear and skills.

Their main character is male, the male options are just gear customization of the male main character. Under those circumstances a female assassin option would always be an extra feature. It probably was something they wanted to do early on, but that doesn't change that they have to make decisions during actual

Watch dogs sold 4 million in one week. People want those big games.

I know it's not about NPC's, I was simply responding to you.

To me art is human creation. Not just the things that look incredible and fascinate us, but human expression. I'm amazed by the world around me and I may be able to take that wonder and turn it into art, but I don't see the world itself as art. The way I see it, a alien life xisting in real life is far more impressive

No no, they aren't 4 different characters. I don't think there are even 4 different male voices I'd be really surprised if that were the case. From what I read there's one male character, the main character in the game, and co-op just allows for customization of that one guy. I don't think we're dealing with an entire

That's not really something we can know. If there focus was on getting 4 player co-op working on new consoles with their engine in the first place, getting single player built for the most part, the bigger broader features, then they could easily still find themselves at a place where female character options couldn't

Let me be clear, me mentioning female NPC's, is because the person who replied to me said that female character models weren't small thing in a game. The game has female character models. They aren't presenting a world with no women, or a version of the french revolution with no women. You get me? How important female

"advocating for the exclusion of women" not at all what I was advocating. I only mentioned NPC's because you said female character models are not a small thing, my point was that they didn't build a version of the french revolution without women, or a world without women.

Are you assuming I am a white male???

Ahh I appreciate it.

They had 4 player co-op since Brotherhood? If so that's my bad, they are still building a AAA open world game with multiplayer on new consoles.

QUOTE | "Inclusivity always seems to end up on the cutting board." - A female engineer at a top studio (who prefers to remain anonymous for fear of reprisal), discussing the “horribly familiar” arguments Ubisoft offered as to why a female character option was left out of Assassin's Creed Unity.

You also need to hire a voice actor and record her lines, and possibly re-record other lines to make it clear they aren't referring to a male. And they'd have to do it all while they have other things to do. Plenty of things were probably cut from this game, they realized that time spent on this would be time they

Because it's a AAA annualized open world game that they JUST added co-op to and they can't be expected to have everything you or their heart desires. They have deadlines. Getting co-op working was probably a feat by itself.

Lol the reasons don't matter, "I feel they don't like women so they don't like women".

But you understand I didn't actually mean random right? That was just the easiest way for me to express creation without authorship. I also know that procedural generation isn't literally random, but "Random" was the best way to make it clear what I'm worried about.

thank you!
