That's not an achievement. Didn't even break a million for a series that sells over ten every year. An quiet HD re-release? Word? We have a twitter campaign for a comment a dev made but the HD re-release of an Assassin's Creed game is just too quiet? Did Freedom Cry sell a million?

Do you guys know what you can actually do?

And that justification is weak because they insult and disrespect developers for not spending hours, weeks, months and years of their lives building the games that THEY want, but they won't even spend $300 to support it? They spew so much bullshit about all the things the industry needs to do better, as if they care,

The release wasn't quiet there was even a Crystal white vita bundle. People who claim to support these causes could buy the $40 game by itself, or the bundle and encourage others to do the same. OR they could have bought it when it came to ps3 and 360, or are those userbases not large enough either? No hashtag

Maybe they should have done a twitter campaign to support AC Liberation when it came out on vita and again when it came to ps3 and 360?

Isn't that why sony wanted to include sharing and recommendations in the ps4? To allow you to be exposed to games that interest you? To increase discoverability? Because that's the real problem, not that we have "too many indie games", but that it's harder to sort through them to find the ones you'll actually like.

Does not in any way shape or form negate the damage the ps3 did to the brand. "Just imagine if the price had been on par" is my very point, it wasn't, and considerable damage was done. Worldwide, playstation is stronger than xbox, but that's not the case in every region, and that doesn't negate the damage the ps3 did.

No it tells you how weak xbox is everywhere else. And the fact that xbox lost in the rest of the world, but they still sold on par, tells you how big the US and UK markets are and how strong xbox is there. The xbox is non existent in japan but the ps3 sold half of it's predecessor there. Going from 150 million

It outsold it worldwide after losing in both the US and the UK. It outsold it worldwide because xbox isn't relevant in japan and Sony stayed strong in Europe.

It also damn near destroyed the playstation brand and severely damaged console gaming in japan. It's not a "failure", like in the end it ended up with a great library, but it crippled playstation and there's no real getting around that.

QUOTE | “Taken as a whole the games industry is making mobile games that nobody cares about available to millions of players for nothing.” - Fireproof Games' Barry Meade weighing in on the problem with the free-to-play and the mobile games industry.

Selling less then your competitor is losing. Especially with what a failure the ps3 was. With a better ps console, what that means is that the xbox one, won't sell as well as the xbox 360 unless a big change occurs.

No, we know they have shipped 5 million consoles, and we know that's not anywhere near the same as having sold through 7 million consoles. We also know that despite a year headstart and a much cheaper price, the 360 lost worldwide. We know that despite outselling sony in both the US and the UK, they still didn't win

Sony really need to be aggressive early on, because whether your friend has the consoles will determine the winner. We have to see if the xbox One outsells them in june, if it doesn't things look grim, but if it's close then we just have to see how it does in November when people are updating for call of duty. Call of

They're not losing 7 to 5, because they haven't sold 5 million consoles. Outside of the US and the UK the xbox one is getting it's ass kicked. More markets won't change that unless it takes off in China. Europe belongs to Playstation but the battle is in the UK. The ps4's stupid expensive in Brazil I think. The US is

Can you record gameplay for Mario Kart 8? Because that's a big reason why it makes sense for DriveClub to have an app, it's attempting to build a community and a sport. Even if you can't this is still kind of a cool thing. Not into mario kart myself but a mobile app makes it feel like something bigger than just one

Would you like me to explain why the vita doesn't have the support the psp has so you can stop being mad at whatever it is you are mad at?

Not really. People still have money to spend on things other than food and shelter. It's more likely that the vita is owned by more enthusiast gamers. So they may be spending more money on games, and putting more thought into their purchases, but spending less money on other things people enjoy.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I think the psp is a poorly designed console. Same for the 3ds. That has no bearing on how much people enjoy their console, nor was it intended to. I own a psp. I've enjoyed some really unique games for it. Doesn't change my opinion that the Vita is a much better designed

Oh and Over My Dead Body 2, or Oreshika, is an rpg on the way as well. No idea if it will be good though.
