If we're gonna say one platform holder isn't trying to bring the future of games, but the others are, we have to surmise what their vision for games are. I've thought about interactive fiction and assymetrical multiplayer for the wiiu! Here's the thing though, you could easily say they just threw in a touch screen,

The ds was really the only one if you don't count the wii.

I feel weird replying so many times to you it's just agh! "Dual-analog sticks? Harddrives? Ethernet connection? Online stores? DLC? These were all innovations in console cycles.......there are smaller, smarter innovations which have really changed the way which we play." Except you weren't asking for that hahahaha.

You're not seeing the forest for the trees lol. And as an example, do you know how much a VR headset would cost with a ps4? You're comparing the ps4 to hardware that either doesn't exist, or would be complete suicide for sony to build a console around. We can still innovate. We did it every generation, where our

"It kinda ties into the overall theme of the PS4" O_o No, it doesn't. I understand your point about the controller being designed for games as they are now rather than as they could be, which is an interesting point but kind of an odd one seeing as you're comparing to a fantastical controller that doesn't actually

I have.

You're gonna have to be more clear about the bubble you're referring to. It seems like I'm missing something. We are getting lots of new interesting games, one's that are far cheaper to make, being announced and greenlit on steam. I'd say what we had earlier this gen was closer to a bubble. Lost lots of developers,

Sony could allow steam, but when it comes to playing on pc I'm not much of a pc gamer, for multiple reasons. There are games on steam I would have put far more time in if I had them on a console, or even vita, so I'm hesitant to purchase games for pc. And it's less about my personal preference and more about those

Everyday there's some new, interesting game on pc. Sony should be aiming for maybe half the amount of games that steam gets, it'd be very good for all the great games being made, and very good for consoles.

Very true, we haven't seen enough of driveclub anyway. The delay makes sense.

I was referring to visuals, sorry for not being clear.

Forza doesn't have any real lead, they are completely different games and forza isn't attempting to do the same thing driveclub is. It also doesn't look as good as driveclub to me so I'm not sure what lead it would have. Sales? It's not a new ip so yeah I guess.

The game would be an interesting look at how the ps4's new OS, it's sharing, and it's mobile functionality would affect how we play games. Driveclub still looks great though, and rushed games are awful.

It's a game with very different goals than forza so.....how is forza even relevant?

Seriously one of the shining stars of this generation. A lightning strike, I'm so amazed that we got this game I'm okay with a bad sequel.

There's no gimmick. Driveclub positions itself as kind of a sport you and your friends are competing in. It's really hard to explain to people that's why people aren't that excited, I think it's something you have to play. It seems like a sport, one that you keep up with. When I was watching the original reveal it

Oh if you're new to ps3 do yourself a huge favor and pickup both Journey and the Unfinished swan as soon as possible. They are both incredible, and cannot be missed if you own a ps3. Next gen consoles aren't going anywhere for a while, no worries there. And dmc isn't for everyone, but I think that's part of it's
