I love Bo. He could have been one of the greatest of all times in two sports had it not been for his injury. But he took it in stride and hasn’t shied away into obscurity like most would. The 30 for 30 on him was excellent.

Bo Jackson never gets his due, either as an athlete or for how he’s carried himself as a man after walking away from both games.

The first time (and only) I went to Bonnaroo was the worst weekend of my life, because 100,000 people kept saying Molly Molly Molly Molly. I had whiplash.

6’10”, 245lbs for Birdman.

Like, I get that it’s made worse because it’s a kid, but do you think the NFL would have suspended him if he beat the shit out of an adult instead? I honestly don’t know. I would hope they’d be like YO ASSAULT IS ASSAULT BRO in which case any argument he gives would be moot but who knows.

And the Ideal Gas Law does nothing to explain the text messages between the equipment folks OR explain why the Colts had the suspicion the Pats were messing with game balls. The AEI nonsense gave blinkered Pats fans the fig leaf they needed to believe what they wanted to believe.

Why are we still talking about air pressure and ideal gas law?? This stopped being about that long ago and I suspect it never was about that.

As weird and dirty as this makes me feel, I agree with what Felger has been saying on Boston radio about the whole thing. I’m definitely not involved in this topic whole-heartedly enough to go into the minutiae of what Felger & Mazz have been saying on their show, but the gist of it appears to me that they believe

3. There certainly might be other explanations, but I don’t think you *need* one beyond the idea that for 2-3 years now, the NFL has been operating with the insulated, entitled buffoonery of the last days of a third-world dictatorship, only without the effectiveness or, in this case, any real power.

That’s badass.

Eh, I don’t really have a problem with any of it, just the guys who take it (or any adult, rec sport) too seriously.

Actually, in all seriousness, left and center are NOT pretty important spots in men’s softball.

Exactly. I’d argue that 3rd base gets less action than right fielders in our leage because everyone tries to hit to right or switch hit to right. Shortstop, second, and left and center outfield get 95% of the action.

everyone knows the weak link (or girl in co-ed) is relegated to RF, all other outfield spots are important.

Right? Even in little league, there’s a point where the outfield goes from the place to dump newer players to the place to put your quickest ones with good arms.

Reports out of Alouettes training camp say that Michael Sam was having a hard time adjusting to his role in the 12-man CFL defensive scheme, where teams generally employ a fifth defensive back.
