I believe in a short warm up period. That’s especially true if i’m going to be putting load on the engine and/or getting on the highway (higher RPMs) relatively quickly.

Agreed! Blue is the best color for a car.
Yes, yes they do. I’ve seen a Subaru WRX driving around with a tree on it’s roof all week...
What a helpful, well written, and well researched piece of journalism! Thank you Sir!
I don’t think a retractable cord on the car is a good idea. I have NEVER owned a retractable corded anything that actually lasted. Headphones, USB cables, vacuum cords, even seat-belt retractors almost always fail over time.
You say this as if it’s fact. We’ve seen one video that seems to show low and high. Maybe it’s an early software version, maybe there is another adjustment elsewhere, maybe it has other features that Tesla feels make up for a lack of intermittent function.
If it’s essentially a Stinger wagon, that would be fantastic as well! I just didn’t think that was the case. Either way, I hope Kia builds it!
The cee’d is basically the Kia Forte5 in the US. That car starts at around $18,500. If this is truly the “pro” version of the cee’d, I would hope this doesn’t go much above the $35,000.
The Kia Stinger is already on my short list for my next DD.
I know somebody here in Michigan that has been TRYING to get a Bolt for months now. They were only sold on the west coast at first and the ordering process just opened up to the rest of the states in the past few weeks.
A Crosstrek WRX would be on my short list for my next DD/winter car. The current Crosstrek with a manual is anemic and short on available options (really, can’t get a sunroof without getting the CVT??) A slightly upmarket Crosstrek with a significant power boost, manual transmission, sunroof, premium sound, and some…
Yep, still want one...
David Tracy, you Sir, are awesome! After sending in my donation, I’ve just been sitting here hitting the refresh button watching the donations pour in. Over $2000 has come in while I’ve been watching.
Moving the release up 1 month is not some maneuver to “Fuck with Tesla.” Granted, they do know that Tesla is serious competition, but it’s going to be a while before customers get a Model 3 in their hands. GM moving 1 month quicker makes little to no difference.
How do people buy RWD BMWs or the Dodge/Chrysler RWD models the Midwest? I see a ton of them, but very few have the AWD/X badges. People have been driving RWD vehicles up here for ever and it’s fine.
I bet you spend a lot more time using your iPhone than you do your car. At least that how MOST Americans are right now. I’m in my car maybe an hour a day, I’m using my phone off and on for 17 hours every day.
My Mom had a Tempo just as I was learning to drive. It survived 14-15 year old me learning how to drive and 16/17 year old me driving alone. Lots of firsts in that car and it was a trooper through it all. That 3 speed auto was strong enough for me to verify that shifting to Reverse while going 45+ mph did nothing…
Elon isn’t building cars, he’s building companies to solve problems. The solutions he focuses on are building sustainable and efficient transport here on Earth and getting Humans to be multi-planetary.
Torch, fix the typo regarding the current Interceptor Sedan, it’s based on the Taurus, not the Fusion.
It’s a simple design and kind of plain, but I can’t call it ugly (sorry, but I do think the new Lexuses are ugly).
