I always had it in my head that people in office just say this so their base believes it. It never occurred to me that they actually believe it themselves.

And the good old days when being gay was not only a sin but a mental disease.
you have your and i have mine.....
“lived in a more respectful time” = “women were ‘sacred’” = “back in the good ole days where you could slap your wife and grope your secretary without anybody getting all lawyered-up, and the coloreds knew their place”
Oh Mike, we all yearn for a more respectful time, but the problem is I want a time where all people are respected, and you want a time where women and black people weren’t so upity.
Apologies in advance, but whenever Callista Gingrich is mentioned, I am forced to post this picture:
Why don’t we ask the hundreds of women who were terrorized, humiliated, and lost years of career momentum and earning power? Whose relationships fell apart? Who never saw their harassers, and in some cases rapists, even have to directly apologize, let alone go to court?
It’s the downside of how they were punished. The problem with trying to punish offenders through a combination of name-and-shame and pressure on their employers/business partners is specifically that there is no particular length of time that’s built into it. It ends as soon as someone is willing to work with them…
Say it!
I used to like Michael Ian Black but I find his “I’m not saying I forgive Louis CK, I’m just saying we need to figure out a way we can forgive Louis CK” discussions to be very exhausting.
Yeah, that’s pretty much exactly how CK got a lot of his victims. They thought they were getting an opportunity to network and receive some advice from this highly successful and revered figure in their field, but instead he abused them. A lot of Cosby’s victims have similar stories. I get OP’s intentions here, but…
How is destroying any careers okay with you? Why is Louie C.K. more important than the people he ruined? What exactly do you see as the point? Should we ignore the results of these peoples actions? Do those they’ve hurt not matter because you think he’s funny?
I definitely would side-eye any of these people seeking to mentor women, though. That seems like a recipe for a repeat.
I already commented on Bobby’s post but I’m so mad I’m here too, lol. The concept of the pink tax, where the wage gape widens because of price discrimination and additional costs of living for women, really should include bills for the therapy we are far more likely to need, after being far more likely to experience…
Ambien overdose, duh.

E) Bragged about his epic booger he just blew out every episode
DJ does it. Dead eyes serial killers always have a mother thing.
Wait, wait, Dan was supposed to be a DRYWALL CONTRACTOR? I NEVER would have guessed this, seeing as how he never once A) came home covered in hot mud and drywall dust B) wandered around saying ‘Holy shit my hand hurts so much, can you open this jar for me?’ C) Got an early morning call because everything on the job…
6. She’s murdered by someone who mistakes her for an undocumented immigrant.
