The Democratic establishment ARE conservatives. They want everything to keep going on as it always has, maybe with some progress on social issues. Keep the money flowing to the top. They only LOOK vaguely progressive because Republicans have whole-heartedly embraced regressing to some mythical past at this point.

The fuck?

To be honest, this seems like a really convenient way to keep your name on the ballot, just in case. If nothing happens between now and election day, you let it play out, do nothing publicly, and maybe AOC wins by 25-30 points instead of 40 or so. Most people forget within a few months. But if something does happen,

She’s making waves against both the Democratic establishment and conservatives and now this nonsense suddenly appears. Seems like some people realize she’s dangerous to their status quo.

He lives in Virginia. His kids go to school in Virginia. It would be trivial to change his residency to his real home.

Alexandria, the race is over and Democrats need to come together. I’ve made my support for you clear and the fact that I’m not running.

Same. Her name is poison to everyone, left right and center, in the same way Paul Ryan’s is.

It shouldn’t be surprising to anyone any more that the Democratic party is deeply opposed to progressive policy. They make a fuss about gay rights and abortion to keep you opposed to “the other guy” while they act in lock step with the Republicans to expand executive power and siphon the country’s wealth to wall

Got my MBA at 28, had a full tuition scholarship for year 1, and attended state school for undergrad with total of 15k in loans at graduation. Even with all those minimizers, at graduation I still had 80k in loans (still half of what a lot of full time MBAs have if they don’t have parents paying their way)

This feels like a pacifist version of The Hunger Games

Based on the article, it doesn’t sound like there was any attempt at all to be flexible. The company said they could be flexible, the candidate suggested one option, and the company revoked the offer.

My wife was fired right before she told her boss she was pregnant, but the signs were there (and fairly obvious). At her previous job, her supervisor was fired 2 months after coming back from maternity leave for “performance reasons” which was absolute garbage. And my best friend’s wife was fired after she told her

... Or she knew she was better off losing money for a few months or years than to leave the job market and try to get back in once the kids were in school.

Company: Women just leave to raise their kids after a few years, they aren’t worth the investment!

I don't know why millennials aren't having children. There must be some reason...

Well, fuck.  “Suicide Catalyst” going to be my punk band name.
