It buzzes?

CR still likes the Niro EV a lot. I got one and I am enjoying it.

I initially misread the sub-headline as:

I agree.

Here is a demo of how to change the direction of the vents on the dashboard of a Taycan: https://youtu.be/U5lD9RH__3I

Preach! I hate this crap. I want to control my HVAC with a dial while I am looking at the road.

I really enjoy adaptive cruise control on a manual car. I once road tripped a manual Golf with adaptive cruise control across Germany. It reminded me of driving one of those riding lawn mowers that has a manual transmission. You put it in gear, then you crank up the hand throttle, then you don’t touch the shifter or

It’s funny how expectations change depending on the segment.

Yeah, that sounds awesome. It could also be an interesting transformation for track driving.

I agree! I would much prefer a fully electric Miata over a hybrid one.

TTAC has a whole column on this. Here is my vote:

“So how does a person that has never driven before know they want a manual?”

I am in the same boat. I love having 3 pedals. But, electric cars with a single-ratio transmission are pretty fun too. And this is coming from someone who doesn’t like CVTs, automatics, flappy paddles, and all that stuff.

I came here to say that. I would have paid extra to delete the large screen and get physical HVAC controls. Which the base model has!

@bradley - That’s a good point! You could be waiting for a loooong time. And, on the other end of the spectrum, you have a Nissan Leaf, which definitely doesn’t leak oil (or anything else), so maybe it cancels out! :)

Wait, so instead of calling a tow truck, you leaked oil all over the road for 15 miles?

I have a MK7 with the 1.8T and the manual, and it is my favorite car I have ever owned. You summed it up well.

The Leaf is a special case because it used uncooled battery packs. Most other EVs have thermal management (coolant) in the battery packs, which helps with longevity.

Extremely cheap leases. Tesla doesn't offer much in the way of incentives. GM puts a lot of cash on the hood, and GM Financial offers generous residual values.

Yeah, I am very excited about the new seats for the 2022 model year Bolt. They look more comfortable. Hopefully they are more comfortable.
