I got a quote from an electrician for $500 to do it. The charger would go near my breaker box, so not much conduit would be run. The charger itself is also around $500, so $1000-ish total.

It’s a 2010.
We won the lottery with our R56's reliability. I maintain it with all the love and attention of the average Nissan Altima owner. And somehow it just runs.

All the time. In my daily driver (MK7 Golf), I am always messing with the temperature and fan speed and vent direction. My face gets to hot, but then my eyes dry out, and then my hands are sweaty, but then they get cold, and so on.
Yeah, this sort of reminds me of when VW de-contented the Jetta in 2011, only to make it more luxurious in the next generation.
I dunno, even on cars with climate control, I like to change which vents are getting air. And, climate control systems are sensing the temperature at various places on the car interior itself, but this isn't necessarily the same as my skin temperature.
Yeah, I have a MK7, and I want to get an electric car of some sort. I think the id.4 looks decent, but again it doesn’t have physical controls for HVAC. I fiddle with the temperature a lot when driving, so I would prefer controls that I can use with my eyes on the road.
A wagon is a relatively low-slung sedan with a box on the back for more cargo. A minivan is an extremely space efficient vehicle with sliding doors. I like minivans and wagons. An SUV is ... well ... mostly the ones that I don’t like as much because they have a higher center of gravity and/or are less space efficient.
Same here! I had been planning to replace my petrol-powered Golf with something electric so that my commute pollutes less. But, now that I am working from all the time, I don’t think I need a new car. If I ever have a daily commute again, I will probably get an EV.
Pre-COVID, I flew 30,000-50,000 miles a year and drove 15,000 miles per year. From March to December 2020, I will have flown 0 miles and I will have driven under 1000 miles.

That sounds like an awesome truck.
Lotus ... With some help from Tesla. Tesla's first product was a long wheelbase electric Elise.
I agree. GM does know how to do product marketing... they just need to actually use their skills and market their EVs. At this point, Tesla is the mainstream EV. GM (or some new brand that GM invents) can become the hip new counterculture EV, if they put their mind to it.
“What have they done since to move EVs forward?”
In my opinion, the Chevy Bolt is good electric vehicle with a mediocre interior and poor branding and marketing. In my opinion, fixing the interior (already happening for 2021), building more cool-looking cars on the same platform, and doing better marketing will lead to a really strong-selling EV product line. It’s…
I’m not really planning to not leave the house until there is a covid vaccine that works well, but if my cat tries to pickpocket me while I carry her treats from the kitchen to the living room, maybe I will consider getting this bag.

My Golf has tires with an aspect ratio of 65 — specifically 195/65R15. It rocks.
