Is there anything more that white Jezebel writers like than calling other things “white”? It seems to make them very frothy.

Eh. Maybe the larger point is good, or successful, or whatever, but the prose reads like a lot of trite mess.

On the other hand, there are many, many smart people/critics/theorists/etc. who think that art is distinctly NOT about the artist. It’s complicated.

But should we need to know the biography of the artist in order to evaluate whether a piece of art is effective/acceptible? That’s tricky IMO.

Serious question: if a black person had been the artist, or if you didn’t know the race of the artist, would you have been more receptive to the piece? Because there are some complicated “can we seperate the artist from the art itself” issues surrounding this, IMO.

Actually, side quests can be filler or can’t be filler. There are tons of games with side quests that are just filler. You seem like a cranky asshole.

Joanna, you seem edgy

And I agree with you that he’s a complete douche.

eww. Jesse is a complete douche.

I agree that he’s insufferable. I just think that making a dumb joke isn’t the reason he’s insufferable.

That’s a cool analogy which doesn’t remotely apply here. Kotaku isn’t a Warcraft website.

Well, if you know about Warcraft shoulderpads, that definitely must mean that “most gamers” do.

ok boss

None of the experiences you mention have a negative connotation. He isn’t a fan of all the press, so he hyperbolically compared it to literally the worst thing there is. It was a dark joke, intended to be funny because of the obvious, gigantic gulf between the inconveniences of doing a press tour and the actual,

I’m too offended by what Eisenberg said to even think about making new friends today.

I bet you have a stellar sense of humor.

I know, really. I think he should be forced to sit down with Jewish, African-American, Sudanese, Bengali, Irish, Armenian, and Rwandan leaders to discuss how deeply, deeply, irredeemably injurious his comment was. The only thing, IMO, worse than a literal genocide is making a joke about one.

Jesus christ, it was obviously a fucking joke. Sometimes jokes are in poor taste. Sometimes *gasp* people even find jokes in poor taste to be funny. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t know what “genocide” means, or that he thinks his experience is literally comparable to it. I know there’s nothing better than an outrage

I always feel like Lena holds her own.
