Yes it is, and it’s the stripping of DRM that allows copyright holders to sue even for fair use cases. Sharing of course, is illegal, but stripping DRM is a separate crime.

Mine was very jerky from a stop. Launch and 1-2 shifts were jerky sometimes, the rest of the time it was smooth.

When I discovered what good wet DCTs are (love my GTI), the whole shit sandwich in the Ford made sense.

See mine was slow to shift, couldn’t decide what gear to be in, and held revs like a CVT. I have a DSG GTI now, and have driven plenty of CVT cars after that Ford. I maintain that the junk transmission in my Ford behaved more like a CVT than a dual clutch.

VW does it with its gas cars.  The MQB platform is under tons of cars and it works well.  There’s no reason to expect the same approach to fail with electric cars.
