Thanks for posting about this show. I've pretty much written off the "History" Channel, so I was unaware of this show until now. I just binged Season 1 and will definitely be watching the new season.

I went through the same "Where do I know him from?" when he showed up on The Knick. This role hadn't shown up on IMDB when I looked, so you might not have made the connection even if you weren't so goddam lazy ;)

I agree it's unlikely to be him, but I believe he knows something about the murders. They made a point of getting a couple of reaction shots from him during Mayor Proctor's press conference in the earlier episode.
