*WK2. The 2005-2010 WK was pretty meh.

At your service! haha

Autostick was never offered in the Breeze. Only the Cirrus and Stratus got it.

Haha! They weren’t ready to be beaten by such an unassuming looking sedan. I managed to win a few stoplight races in mine as well. I actually swapped the Autostick gauge cluster, shifter, and transmission control module out of a Dodge Stratus so I could shift it myself. I was 18 and really wanted a manual transmission

This fabric was unique to the Expresso package and called “Rhythm Expresso Cloth.” The package also included “Sporty 14-inch Nitro wheel covers.

They did.

A ‘99 Expresso in Forrest Green with the 2.4L engine was my first car. It was both terrible (drivetrain, reliability) and pretty decent (roomy interior, fairly attractive interior and exterior styling for a boring 90's sedan).

I feel attacked.

I sold my 2008 TSX 6MT almost three years ago at 180,000 miles and I still miss it. The ‘15 Chevy SS 6MT I replaced it with is a ton of fun, but there was something very special about the first gen TSX that can’t be replicated.

I’d watch that re-make!

I had a 2008 TSX (last year of the first gen) with a 6MT in Grey with black interior. I loved that car. Drove it for 5 years and sold it with 180K miles still in great condition. I regret selling it sometimes. It was a fantastic DD.

Haha! Just happened to be perusing the “What retro activity did you get up to today?” thread prior to Jalopnik. I’m a Slot 1 junkie. I love the look of that clean GX1 with the 5.25" drive in it. +1

I wish I could star this twice.

Didn’t I just see this exact picture on VOGONS?

Chevy SS with a manual is clearly the answer here.

- Full sized sedan
- LS3 V8
- Manual transmission
- Styling not over the top
- Low mileage used examples available for under $40K

Ehem..

The power hard tops are very reliable. You’ll be hard pressed to find any reports of failures related to them. I’ve owned a 2009 Miata with the PRHT for 5 years now and the hard top still opens/closes/seals like the day I bought it, and that top gets opened and closed A LOT. It’s really not any quieter than a soft top

I can’t be the only one who’s mind immediately went to Christie Brinkley’s 308 GTSi from National Lampoons Vacation before Magnum, P.I.

You could get that 2.0 with a 5 speed manual though!
