Nothing wrong with that. Dave Ramsey’s advice is great if you’re irresponsible with money and don’t know how to properly use credit or live within your means.

This

Interesting. It would be very easy for Ford to tune down the torque to below 400 lb-ft in the 2.7EB ECU, but they may be concerned about people doing a simple aftermarket tune and breaking their manual transmissions.

Actually, there is a great example of a gentleman’s agreement on speed in the US already: personal watercraft / jet skis. Back in the 90’s, with PWC top speeds climbing and injuries/deaths on the rise, the USCG threatened to impose regulations on the manufacturers. Rather than go through the entire process of

If you read the article you’d know that the Arkansas State Police Driver’s License study guide explicitly describes what to do during a traffic stop and this woman followed it to the letter. So, you actually don’t just “pull the fuck over.”

It’s a shame they made the gauge cluster so darn hideous for this generation.

And that point is flawed. Performance isn’t only about straight-line speed. So what if a Camry can beat it in a straight line? My Miata would lose to a V6 Camry in a drag race, but I’d much rather drive the Miata because it’s a lot more fun. The BRZ and GR-86 aren’t meant for winning spec sheet wars. They’re made for

Variety is the spice of life. We don’t all want a Tesla.

Hello fellow Chevy SS 6MT owner.

To each their own. Much like the automobile replaced the horse, EVs will someday replace internal combustion powered cars. Horses are just for enthusiasts now. As a car enthusiast, I intend to continue driving my V8 manual sedan as long as possible. Folks who drive cars as appliances can buy EVs.

So much this. I daily drive a 2015 manual Chevy SS and have an NC2 Miata. My wife sold her Mustang convertible and got a 2019 Grand Cherokee Limited when we had our son. I love driving the darn thing. It’s just the right size for a mid-size two-row SUV. It’s quiet and comfortable, while somehow not being totally

Regal Peacock Green on the Chevy SS is one such color. It’s gorgeous when it’s clean. The problem is keeping is looking clean.

Hey I’m not the only one around here with a Chevy SS and a Jeep Grand Cherokee!

YouTube is blocked on my work computer, but I have to assume this is the “Big Day” Jetta VR6 commercial with the guy racing to the wedding. I came here to post it. It’s just perfect and I still remember it after 19 years.

Now playing

Obligatory post of this Jetta VR6 commercial that’s seared into my memory.

So much this. I had a 2003 GLI with the 24V VR6 and a 2004.5 GLI with the 1.8T, both 6 speed manual. Both were equally the most unreliable cars I’ve ever owned, but they were just awesome. The 1.8T would get 30+ mpg while being surprisingly quick in the era before every small car had a turbo four. The interior quality

I’ve had a Miata since 2012 and I still love driving it as much as I did on the test drive. 10/10 would recommend. Used ND models are getting pretty cheap too.

Recently picked up a 2019 JGC Limited 4x4 with the Lux II package. It’s a capable, attractive, practical family vehicle. I could have bought a Highlander or some other boring CUV, but life is too short to be boring. The Jeep is far better looking, has a real 4WD system, has the engine installed in the correct

So get a trim like the Limited (with Luxury package) or Trailhawk that doesn’t have the leather dash, but still has plenty of luxury goodies and capability.
