I’m with you. Too expensive to use for “work”. Not nice or special enough to be a show car.

You could add more blind spots!

This one specifically? I dont know. This as a rolling chassis that I would throw the ford electric crate solution into eventually and have a badass electric F-100 Panel truck? Most definitely.

Learned about having them with me in NJ but now I have them with me everywhere.

It has very little utility other than a spare bedroom sitting in the yard for your drunk uncle who comes by to visit every now and then. That engine could barely move the stock truck, much less one with all that weighty stuff behind it.

Because this is a running, driving vehicle with some utility. Yes it’s overpriced, but in the “a few thousand dollar” range, not the “tens of thousands overpriced” range. Friday’s car was a roller of a replica.

It looks like a boxier first-gen Kia Sportage, and in terms of build, it’s Frankensteined from top to bottom. Seems like a nightmare to maintain. Plus it’s $10k.

Yeah, I’d pay 15k for this, not a dime more.

I had a neighbor who owned the Oldsmobile 88 Royal coupe, the plush luxury cousin to the Buick LeSabre. It was quite attractive with the alloy wheels and FE-3 suspension package.

This is a different platform from the Regal, though. The LeSabre was on the full-size platform. Agree it’s a nice car, tho...

Fair enough, but if you continue down that road you will soon have something that looks like it was in Mad Max.

Somebody offered an opinion yesterday that the NADA value did not apply to the mostly stock Golf. I disagree, because if the example doesn’t light up my brain’s pleasure lobes, I look to some evidence of market value. I would agree that book value would not be relevant to today’s modded model. So, I’ll do my own math

We had a friend with a green one from 80 or 81, our 82 was metallic red. It wasn't until the mid 80s that these were all triple white Valley Girl specials.

Had a green one in college.

They could have at least painted the column shroud so it didn’t stick out like a sore thumb

Agreed. I’d ND this for myself all day long at an even lower ask than the lower ad, but I can see that if it were perfect it would be a NP for many large lovers.

At one point my brother in law had a sawed down shotgun (...) out of kids reach above the door frame in the inside of his closet.

I keep a couple pistols loaded in a biometric safe (has a fingerprint scanner on it). All the other guns are in a bigger safe elsewhere. If I ever had to get my other guns for self defense, then I’ve apparently killed John Wick’s dog and we all know how that will end.

Ground floor SUV, tattoo, fancy dinner, and poker all in one stop? Sign me up, this is LV NP all day long.
