I also think there is a lot of potential for bad ramifications because she killed the guard on what was basically instinct. That was not something that would be easy to justify as a cop. They also know her sister’s name, and that is really bad. Obviously, Ani was expecting to be able to observe the party and recognize

I really liked how that scene was framed as well. I also thought that Ani using the knife was realistic because she basically used it on instinct. I’m afraid that bad things are going to happen to her sister, Athena, because those people have her name.

This story is terrifying, I’m glad that the woman was able to defend herself and kill him. I can’t help but think that she got lucky to some extent. I recoil at using the word lucky though because being targeted by a serial killer is the opposite of lucky. I wish that sex work would be legalized. I think it would help

It is curly enough that it may have looked shorter than it was when cut.

If they were going to lie about him staying dead, they should have just gone with the whole becomes an ice zombie approach. I will be very surprised if that’s what happens.

That’s pretty terrible. He’s really in the wrong business, but I guess we’re all watching. I liked the first season, but mostly because of the acting. Pizzolatto is definitely benefiting from white guy privilege. I haven’t read his stuff outside of TV, and perhaps he’s not a terrible novelist. Why they gave him full

The worst thing is that it isn’t even that the writing has an actor in mind. It is writing that basically requires a specific actor and then they didn’t even try to cast that actor.

I agree. This season is in desperate need of a good editor. The actors should not need to succeed despite the material. That’s what’s happening this season when it works. Rachel McAdams and Colin Farrell somehow make believableish and interesting humans out of that material, but they are the only leads who do.

Yup. I was thinking that Ian McShane could do that material, but Vince Vaughn sure as hell can’t.

Too many characters, bad pacing, and bad casting. I think someone like Ian McShane could actually pull off the lines, but Vince Vaughn sure doesn’t. The writing is not naturalistic, so delivering it is really hard. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson were able to seem like real people despite the dialog. I think

Poor puppy! I’m glad this had a happy ending and that Jimma let people help her without freaking out.

I don’t have a list of recent examples of women who identity as lesbians being called straight instead in the media. I can think of many, many examples of women who identify as bi being called straight or lesbians instead. In daily life, femme queer women always face people who don’t believe us whether we are bi,

It does seem to be changing with younger people. But I still know self-identified lesbians who won’t date bi women because they think we will leave them for a man. They have no problems being friendly to me, so it isn’t quite disdain.

But I’m not talking about asshole men who hit on women in day to day life. I’m talking about the professional media and whether or journalists ignore how individual women self identify. I think that it is much more likely for bi women’s self identifications to be ignored in the media than for lesbians self

Yeah. It’s not the best word, but we don’t have a good replacement yet.

Gwen Verdon was 50 or so when she originated the role.

Damn...that is not good at all. So much for journalistic ethics.

Don’t eat the sand. Now they tell me...

I tend to identify as queer and to tell people that I mostly date women for similar reasons. If I tell people I’m bi, they assume I’m mostly interested in men, which is not the case at all. I’ve also noticed that straight guys tend to assume that bi women are game for anything in bed and that we are super experienced

Well those or the pee and probably traces of poop in public pools seem to be the options.
