That’s a very good point and it certainly happens in daily life a lot. I guess I’m separating societal prejudices from the media reaction a bit. I could see that playing a role in addition to bi phobia in the media. They want to put people into boxes, and for whatever reason bi women don’t fit into their preexisting boxes.

It could be. I’m not convinced, though, that if a conventionally attractive woman who is a model and actress came out as gay the media would question her sexuality. Bi women are almost always questioned about whether we are actually straight.
She’s no Gwen Verdon, but neither are any of the other recent Roxies. We need more amazing dancers who can sing on Broadway.
She’s bi though. I think the reaction is more about bi invisibility than about people assuming attractive women can’t be queer.
