Shocking.

I had a fairly horrible conversation with an in-law who explained that Pence was a godly man, and if Pence supported Trump, that meant Trump was doing the Lord’s work. Or something.

... does Kansas have one? I find this oddly heartening, for the moment at least.

I can only star this once, as you know. But there are 4,924 more when Kinja is ready.

I’ve been doing it for months. I don’t understand why Cooper just started.

This is the internet equivalent of when I spend ten minutes giving a clsss instructions and then some d-bag raises their hand and asks a question which was literally just answered.

Basically.

Two of those people beat my friend because he was a “fag.” Then they sodomized him because he “liked it.” Now they post shit about how homos shouldn’t be able to get married or have children side by side with clips from the fucking Ellen show.

Since many of them also own Make America Great caps and frequently call me a liberal snowflake, I’m going to guess no?

On the one hand, I think it’s kind of cool that she’s helped contribute to a culture where Bobby can take her to task.

On the other hand, yeah. Let the lady rest if she wants.

I remember the episode airing, and what a big deal it was for my [very closeted] high school friends. I remember fellow classmates being absolutely awful about the show, about Ellen, about having “gayness” forced on them or whatever.

I don’t know if she did, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I just think it’s more important to note that the only people I’ve ever encountered who don’t find the book realistic are the people who have enough privilege they’ve never had to think about it.

I don’t know the person and I can answer for them. No. They did not read the book.

The only people I know who think it is unrealistic are men.

There was no dress code, but I was instructed to go home and change because I wore a mid-thigh LBD with a zebra print coat over top. (This was the days of Cake’s “Short Skirt/Long Jacket.”)

I’m super glad you’re able to influence who leads the country by deciding with whom you’ll ... golf?

Right, but it wasn’t just bullying. It was bullying and sexualized pics and an actual rape.

There are all sorts of problems with the story, but “is this enough to lead an otherwise healthy person to suffer extreme depression” is not one of them. I was depressed after just watching the poor kid, and I’m old enough to

My favorite is when something takes place in Kansas City, and the headline reads, “Kansas blah blah blah something backward.”

Checking him for ... anthrax. Better sniff his head.
